****ing picture for everything nowadays.

 

Fair enough, I've come not to expect anything from English teams in Europe recently other than Chelsea winning both in quick succession. I was hoping Liverpool would win the europa last season.

I don't buy the media line that we should want to get Barcelona or Real/Bayern as I would think the following

Monaco
Athletico
Dortmund
I wouldn't rule us out against these as i would put them in the same boat as Sevilla. Monaco we could hurt their defence and Athletico we play a similar style to match them up

Juve in the middle, probably not as strong as the big 3 but I wouldn't fancy us in the same way I might with the above 3

Real/Barce/Bayern - anything can happen in one game (Celtic beating Barcelona) but over two games I wouldn't give us a prayer

Personally I want Monaco or Athletico

 

In Europe I tend to.
Don't see anything wrong with that.
Will always support PL teams over Spanish scum, or the Italian and German teams.

 

I don't support English teams in Europe, quite the opposite in fact

Oddly Liverpool are the only PL team i tend NOT to support in Europe.
Which is a shame, because I like your lot on here, but I can just never bring myself to do it,

 

I'm always going to cheer on anyone over Man Utd but outside of that I go with who's playing well and all the PL teams play ****e and I end up cheering the opposition on, that's been the trend for years.

 

Why?

 

I just can't bring myself to support any other team than Liverpool, I find it quite odd people can. Each to their own though!

What kind of football fan spends time analysing, worrying and/or bragging about coefficients?

One who's team finishes fourth in the PL? Especially if it's regular.

 

If they don't qualify it's because they haven't hit the predetermined qualification criteria. Deal with it and don't look to other clubs to "earn" you a bonus qualification place.

 

Personally, I believe that only the champions from all European countries should play in the Champions League. Straight knockout, no seeding. It won't happen though, too much money involved.
