The Leicester City "spiral" watch!

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by Hoddle is a god, Jan 17, 2016.

  1. Thanks, Fosse.

I knew you'd be rooting for us.

Read what I have actually written.

  3. We watch in the hope of winning, not in the expectation of winning.

It's that lack of delusion that separates us from United fans and Mousers.

... don't fight it Zan ... we're all Leicester fans on here ... it's just a question of 'degree' <laugh>

Even this fella ... I'm protecting his true identity because he would be embarassed if it got out ... but the assonantal, dual syllable, imagery is a bit of a give away <laugh>

  5. Ah, that's a shame.

I had hoped that we had left this kind of personal invective behind us.

I respect your opinion, though, Mick, even if I think you are wrong to bring personal insults into an argument.

  6. Come off it, Tobes!

6 or 7 on aggregate would be a dry humping, and you know it.

What would Fosse, Micky and Johnny have to tell their grand children? "I was there when LCFC made it all the way to the QF of the CL in order to get dry-humped by Real Madrid!"

**** that! If I was the grand kid listening to that story, I doubt my Dad would leather me for slipping Grandpa Fosse the middle-finger and pissing on his hearing-aid.

A dry humping in the fixture, but the campaign would be viewed as a success overall.

Way better than the side that ****ed our coefficient points this season by getting dumped out of the CL at the group stage and then losing to some assorted cab drivers and firemen in the EL. Total pish that was

"What would Fosse, Micky and Johnny have to tell their grand children?"

    Probably something like:

"I was there when LCFC won the EPL title ... the following season we even reached the quarter finals of the Champions League"

"Those were the days kids ...funny how football changes ... we weren't always a top 6 side like we are now ... and some big clubs have fallen from grace since that title win ...it would be good to see Tottenham Hotspur back to the Premier League some day ....they chased us hard in that title winning season ... plus they are way too big for League 1"

  9. Not intending to wum, Fosse, but if I was the grand kid listening to that story I would **** on your flower-beds and feed your gold-fish to the cat, and I wouldn't expect any retribution from my Dad.

At least do something funny to spice it up, like taking out your false teeth and gurning at me.

As Tobes says, whatever happens now the campaign is a success as we never expected to get that far. We have not embarrassed England as others have done. What would you class as a not embarrassing ending to our campaign then out of interest?

we won the premier league and progressed to the quarterfinals of the CL the following season, despite a below par campaign domestically !
Anything less than a third place prem finish for your lot would be a very downward spiral !

Getting to the final doesn't save you. Even a one-sided final will qualify <whistle>

I think it's a great story. I'd love to see Leicester do it, don't think they will though. :emoticon-0100-smile

I think it is now time that we give HIAG the credit he is due ... he was the only one to predict that only Leicester City could possibly prevent English football from being completely and utterly humiliated in this season's Champions League...and he has been proven 100% correct ... I may have paraphrased his actual words somewhat...but I think I have still captured the spirit of his uncanny foresight... :)

This thread, like many others before it, has come back to haunt HIAG <ghost>

He should probably just man up and admit that he ****ed it up, but I doubt he's got the Cojones for that.
