My feeling has always been a stadium that could host athletics.

The designs now possible mean it will be a football stadium first, athletics second.

 

It's just a question I raise because the City want to host it in '22 and they'd need a new stadium which is convenient as you guys are in the process. Can't imagine a 3rd being built just for Athletics.

We are the partner that big Joe needs and he will help grease the wheels and chuck in a few ££'s towards the build.

 

I think the city are seizing on an opportunity here for sure but it would have to be looked at wither everotn and say ok.. well you are asking everton to delay stadium for 5/7 years and then redo an athletics stadium into a football stadium.

For me everton should not allow this end up with a souless **** hole like west ham have.

 

I am sure that no compromise will be made, as pointed out before I believe that if it is to be used for the CG's then it will be an adaptable offering that can be built/used now. Retractable seat design means that a football stadium can then be used for athletics. A 55k seater football ground adapted at close of season with removeable seats for Athletics - say 40k capacity. just like COMS during manchester games.

Would also be good for the city to have Athletics as an option outside London and raise the profile of northern cities

 

What are the plans for the old ground?

 

Nothing released. Nothing mentioned.

 

I would love to see it become a home for EiTC. Some form community centre/connection to the old and new.

 

I thought it was'nt happening so how can it be crap?
