Guess tomorrow could end up with the headline " WRITE OFF MULLINS AT YOUR PERIL " Yorkhill, Un De Sceaux, Nicholas Canyon, Lets Dance. Will do the 4-fold just in case. Think Top Notch will slam Yorkhill though, Sub Lieutenant will slam Un De Sceaux, Unowhatimeanharry will win the hurdle ( i really like Cole Harden but he just finds it so damn hard to win ) , Toe the Line to slam Lets dance
TOP NOTCH looks spanking good value at 4/1 tomorrow Really hoping that TOBEFAIR continues the amazing run and lands the spoils for the small yard. Which top trainer by the way is 0 from 24 in the last fortnight?
Piss poor today, last throw of the darts today as im off to Prague in the morning. Politologue / Flying Angel ew Isleofhopesndreams Sub Lieutenant (NAP) Lil Rockerfeller ew Bouvreuil La Bague Au Roi Hadrians Approach Surely Lets Dance gets outpaced tomorrow?
All three have had a mare so far, everything seems to be failing to get up the hill. Amazing how different it's been this year with Nicky and GE taking so many races.
Balko Des Flos and Flying Angel Sub Lieutenant Ante posts on Cole Harden and Jezki at 33/1 and 16/1. Will lay both of these off for guaranteed wins (i need it after these two days) Rock Gone Let's Dance
I'm looking at: Top Notch - jumped like a stag last time out (fear Disko) Jury Duty - Elliot put this up as one of his best chances at the meeting Uxizandre - Great return and at this trip on this track the one to beat. Sub Lootenant disappointed last twice but could come good here. Harry (NAP) - looks bombproof Cocktails At Dawn - going well when falling at Kempton and too big here at 50s. Nice National prep. La Bague Au Roi - a bit of value against the out-of-sorts Closutton runners Premier Bond - to complete a magical day for the master of Seven Barrows Need to find some sort of combi bets and also get my lucky number 14 L31 in again. All small stakes stuff.
I too have played Balko Des Flos e/w. Disko looks to want soft ground, Top Notch seems to excel on it, and Yorkhill has the Mullins form question mark Balko has travelled really well over longer trips of late before fading and iv chanced that the shorter trip and spring ground might play to his strengths more than the others
Stick or twist? After a pig of a day, I find myself with a get out of jail card in the shape of a £2 Lucky 15 on the Newcastle all weather. Aye, it has a chance in an open event TC. I'm wary there's potentially an underlying issue at the Mullins yard so happy to avoid his now. I wouldn't be on Let's Dance to be honest but i placed that before the Festival so it's stuck. Balko will be ready to go so we'll see what happens. Not expecting much but those two are fairly priced.
