Martin played well again against Torquay and he was up against a big lump. And to be fair to the big lump he could play a bit of football. Martin will definitley start. We should cruise to victory in style.
What does everyone think the team for sat will be? Personally i think Chappers will play on the wing in place of guly,.Guly is good player but unpredictable, when in midfield he neglects his defensive duties and we look more lightweight.. my team Davis, Richardson, Fox, Fonte, Jaidi, Lallana, Chappers, Hammond, Cork, Connolly, Lambo
I'd play Guly on the right wing for sure. It may not be his favourite position, but I don't agree that he sulks out there. It's always when he looks like he's drifting out of a game that he does something magic, which reminds me of someone else who began his career with us playing on the right. Plus he doesn't mind getting back and tackling if he has to defend. But I suppose it will depend what sort of threat Barnsley pose on their left.
martin impressed last weekb ut looked nervy at times, for sure he will grow with confidence but tricky away games i think we need the big man jaidi at the back

I think now Martin needs a good run in the team. He will only get better and better and I can see him creating a real good partnership with Fonte at the back. My choice would be: Davis Richardson Fonte Martin Fox Chaplow Hammond Cork Lallana Lambert Connolly Subs: Bialkowski, Jaidi (if fit), Schneiderlin, Guly, De Ridder I think Adkins may choose to put Fox on the bench or in midfield and stick with Harding though.
I rate Holmes over Guly, place Lallana on the right and Holmes on the left, and Chaplow isn't a natural winger. Guly hasn't been the best of late and I would like to see Holmes given a chance.

Maybe. But that's where man-management comes in. Adkins looks capable of keeping the whole squad sweet, which is easy enough when the team's winning I suppose.
