Yea crazy that no one went for kante. Luckily the glamour clubs only care about strikers and to a certain extent, Pep, Klopp and Arsene believe more in finding attacking players rather than finding a class holding midfielder. Even Jose didn't get a chance as United were so dead set on Carlton Pogba

you do know do't you that you paid 30mil and are a glamour club... you do realise this fact?

Utd wanted him, arsenal seemingly bid for him and you got him... ok...

lol sorry maybe i should have put lucky the other glamour clubs.

United and Arsenal didn't really want him. We paid 30m which is chump change relative to all our clubs considering he's only 25. It's the price you paid for lallana before the PL money got even more crazy. You guys went for Winja instead cause he actually was pretty attacking for the newkie boys (crazy money considering they got relgated and Rafa had benched him in half those games).

Arsenal splurged on Xhaka cause he has/had more technical ability (typical arsene). United were never interested they already have about 50 billion midfielders not including carlton pogba and mkhi who they bought.

Barca and real obviously only want attacking players and PSG and Bayern are pretty well stocked in CM.

We bought Luiz as he is a chelsea cult hero, slowly turning into a chelsea legend

Arsenal are funny that way but wneger did say he bid and really he bought xhaka for more

We paid 25 for lallana which is indeed a lot and same for wijnaludm but... well... do you really think we'd have got near the lad?

are you saying your poor little club got lucky then?

Michael Oliver has been selected to referee the Premier League fixture between Manchester City and Liverpool at The Etihad on Sunday.

The 32-year-old official from Northumberland was the man in middle for last night’s FA Cup match between Chelsea and Manchester United.

He made a number of controversial decisions during the match which left United boss Jose Mourinho describing him after the game as a referee “with fantastic potential”.

Oliver has taken charge of a number of Liverpool games this season including Leicester City (a), Manchester United (a), Stoke (h), Watford (h), Swansea (a) and Arsenal (a).

During his 32 games this season he’s issued 97 yellow cards and 3 red cards

i think you guys had a chance. Before Conte turned up, he was only well known in Italy whereas everyone has had plenty of exposure to herr klopp who has been a great character (gone a bit moody past few months).

No one knows who Kante would have picked but no one put bids in and luckily he came to us

nahhhh LFC are small time. we don't know what contact were made with his agent.

I would not be shocked you long since had agreed the transfer while leicester were still playing to win the league.

Would this be Lukaka not signing as he wants CL football. Maybe we should go for him if only to wind up Tobes. He will go to Chelsea or Utd

in other news, Rojo will not be charged for his stamp cause "oliver saw it and dealt with it at the time" i.e. did f all after he made a courageous decision and went back to bottling everything.

You guys will love that <laugh>. Rojo must be the one player who gets away with so much guy got 9 lives

This is Ranieri's responsibility. I think he didn't even realise the importance of Kante to Leicester's triumph. He probably thought that yes, he was important but so was everyone else like mahrez Vardy et al. From his behaviour this season he must have thought his own role was more prominent rather than get the players to play a simple system and to motivate them to play as a team.

Kante was worth much more than £30m. Surely Leicester as champions should have realised that and worked out that Kante was the most Important factor in their triumph. Even without the benefit of retrospection he must have been worth double that.

heard it was because he had a 20m release clause to a CL side and 30m release to a non CL side. That or accept our offer when arsenal put in a 20m one to trigger the CL clause. Dunno how true that is though.

Dont think you can blame ranieri as i think he really wanted to keep him

Think he would have to bring a knife on the pitch and stab someone before he gets carded, and even then it'd only be a yellow

I think this is what winds me up the most is double standards
Dont get me wrong we have benefitted from crap like this in the past and we need to take our red glasses off sometimes. To me it does not enhance the game having so much variance in decision makings
Nor does it make the games more interesting cause we all have our take. The two bookings were not yellows the two footed lunge and the stamp were arguably reds.
Time for to replays and refs having to either interview straight after match to explain themselves or be miced up so we hear the ddecision making process
    Just ludicrous

Surely all a ref has to do is loudly tell them all to back off or he'll book them. Then, if they persist, carry out the threat.
Oliver just seemed to take the abuse stoically.
    It's a good job I'm not a ref - it'd be five-a-side.
