He'll go to PSG for about £40m in a couple of years.

He's better as an attacking midfielder imo, he's a bit of a luxury that needs workers in behind him. Once he's looking back he seems lost as to where he should be.

A year ago he'd have been up there as one of the players I'd most liked us to sign to play alongside Matic. Thankfully we saw sense and paid a third of the price for twice the player in Kante.

Pogba is just an expensive hair cut wielding bit of marketing now. Much like United generally post Fergie. Match made in heaven. Pray they don't ruin the genius of Griezmann next season ;)

I agree but he simply does not get the amount of goals or assists an attacking midfielder should in modern systems. He looks one hell of a luxury at the moment. He'd probably do much better in a side that is doing well consistently but seems incapable of actually bringing a team up around him.

The price tag is not his fault but I said at the time it was ludicrous for a player who is not a match winner. Suarez and Bale looked expensive at the time but both are game changers / match winners and have since proven their value. Pogba is playing like a 20-30 million pound player tops.

Yeah i can't see Alex stomaching Pogba when he was in charge. (Well he didnt tbf, he flogged him).
He seems to encapsulate everything SAF hated in a footballer, flashy, in the media alot, stupid hair and emoji's.
As soon as players got anywhere near that level of twattiness SAF was quick to show them the door (see Beckham and Ronaldo). He wanted footballers, not celebrities.
Thats why players like G Neville and Giggs fared so well, because they only ever showed up on the back page, not the front (Except for that one incest incident with Giggs later on in his career :p)

Just found this quote from SAF on Pogba, and why he let him go ""It is disappointing. I don't think he showed us any respect at all, to be honest. I'm quite happy that if they [footballers] carry on that way, they're probably better doing it away from us."

    he knew the score! :)

Incidentally, also found this quote from SAF on Kante from last season. "The lad is, by far, the best player in the Premier League!".

Methinks if SAF had been your manager last summer, you would have been going for Kante and not Pogba.
Thats why SAF was the best, he sees **** like this before anyone else does.

Exactly right. Ronaldo and Beckham though achieved great things before becoming media whores and both had great work ethic on and off the pitch. Whilst Pogba did well at Juve (alongside some world class midfield talent mind), he has achieved nowhere near what his celebrity type persona suggests; especially in England and especially post that price tag.

Stop the stupid hair cuts, selfies and dabs and get on with your job son!

Oh yeah they were both far better than Pogba in their respective roles.
By my point was, SAF didn't give a **** how good you were, or thought you were, if you had the wrong attitude you were out the door regardless (See Jaap Stam as well).

Conte got the best out of him at Juve. Do you think he would do well at Chelsea?

Herrera got Herrera sent off with his stupidity. The ref, seconds before, is giving a final warning for consistent fouling and the prize idiot committed a further foul seconds after the game restarted.
I personally would have liked to have seen a couple of further reds dished out, when the Utd players were demonstrating with the ref. It looked "ugly" on TV and IMO opinion has no place on a football field.

United kicked lumps out of Hazard up until the sending off.
Costa and Rojo acted like arses and some how Rojo will escape unpunished for his stamp.
Before the sending off the united keeper was their best player and Chelsea were better all night long imo.
In the opening 35 mins (before the sending off) united had no attempts on target.
After 90 mins they had 1 attempt on target in total.
10 men or not ... that is appallingly bad.
Chelsea are the best team in the PL imo but united spent around £170m last summer to play like that <yikes>
