We're still in the s**t, but that's being particularly negative. If you genuinely think that, then I'd get down the bookies and put your money where your mouth is, because I think you'd get excellent odds on that.
well we have 5 home and away we have 4 games 45 points may just be enough to survive! not really worked through the others fixtures properly yet. so we need 7 points! and a tight GD
So for all those that believe the muppet keeps City up,what do you think he will do different next season. Or more importantly do you honestly think he can, or will take the club forward. Or will the same old same old keep you happy.
I can't imagine anyone liking this situation RR but we are not relegated yet. It's not over till it's over. When we are confirmed relegated then we can reallly throw mud. Until then we are in a better position than SOD, Delboy, KM or Cotts left us in.
I believe anyone that's brought in that's not a top class manager is as much of a gamble as LJ. I grant you, it's been an unexpected dreadful season and yes a massive part of the blame will always lay with the manager, but I think if we do survive, he would learn by mistakes and one would hope he would take a different approach. Part of me says, yes he does change things and perhaps too much too soon, but I know most fans would also moan if he didn't when things aren't going right (Cotts). Players and other parts of the management team need to also take responsibility for our downfall.....maybe the players we have got aren't as good as we think at this level. I hope LJ pulls us through (as he will defo be in charge till end of season), then it will be decision time for SL.....give LJ the first 12 games of next season or get rid and start a fresh. For me, if we stay up and unless a top manager is available (not Pearson or Pardew!!) I'd give LJ a bit more time............. Waiting for the onslaught......lol
No onslaught from me onefor but you must admit we are in a pickle and the way out is fraught with many dangers. I really don't think there is anyone in the management area of Bristol City who will ever face the music for our dismal season and I would like nothing more than for someone to step up and say we goofed. We can always accept less than the best as long as there is a voice that keeps us informed of our/their shortcomings and detail how they intend to change it for the better. All we get currently are idiotic tweets and statements that do absolutely nothing to calm our fears and leads us to believe we are being fed bu**sh*t and being kept in the dark on all things Bristol City. Assuming we survive this season it brings up the question as to what we need to do, and who is going to do it, to improve our lot for the next time. The biggest thing we all want right now is re-assurance that our belief in Bristol City is being heard and noted because unless the animosity that has been generated is quashed, then it could have a long term negative affect. Whether the next rebuild is under the leadership of Lee Johnson (I rather hope not) or someone else is the big question to be answered and although I have had a long respect of Lee, with his poor leadership skills I have lost a large portion of that belief. Bringing in a new supposedly more experienced person will have it's ups and downs before they can do enough to convince us of their ability, so it's not a guarantee by any means. How important is the summer transfer market in the overall plan and can Lee, if he should still be around, offer better value for money than he did recently? The next month or so is critical to our short term survival but the summer, and all it's comings and goings, will dictate as to whether the lessons have been learnt from a less than exciting season and my biggest concern is that we will get the usual response, or lack thereof. I have lost most, if not all, of my faith in the promises drifting from Ashton Gate and it makes me wonder if we are beating our heads against a brick wall expecting something different and imaginative to happen. Watch this space.
Assuming we do stay up, in which case its likely LJ will still be there, it is important how we go forward. Remember the start of this season and several of us thought we had already arrived and would be pushing the play offs at least. There was no reason then to think otherwise that we couldn't. Several including myself thought mid table would be more likely. That now seems unlikely unless we went on probably a good unbeaten run for the rest of the season. GON himself said that 4th bottom would be success. Frankly I and most of us would settle for that right now. This season is written off, next is vital regardless of what division we are in. My fear is that as we all know, League 1 is no cake walk getting straight back up- I think we can do it, I just hope that we dont go into the Birmingham game needing to win. You can just picture it now, 3-0 up at half time........?
