If the unmentionable happens in the EL and Manchester Ugh!!!! finish 4th, then the EL places go to 5th and 6th should a team from the top 6 wn the FA Cup. Should United finish 4th and not win the EL, and a team outside the top 6 win the cup, Middlesboro for example, then 5th place gets the EL, and 6th has to qualify via the preliminary rounds, like West Ham did so ingloriously. That scenario might be funny should that happen and Arsenal finish 6th.

PS: I think the Italians have a big gap to close for them to get 4 CL places, so that is why it matters not a jot if Manchester slip out of the EL. And next season we can rely on the likes of Chelsea, Livepool, who both have good pedigree in Europe as do Manchester, to go far, so it would be funny to see Arsenal in the EL group stage.

With all the hype around how good the match was, how good the comeback was, Neymar, Suarez showed their worst traits (except biting) again, horrendous diving and playacting. Any contact and they throw themselves to the floor, much like Ashley Young used to do until Ferguson gave him a bollocking. As good as they are, I just can't like them for those reasons, at all.

One thing I found out today was that after the B.Munich thrashing, the only two Arsenal players to have the guts to go over to their remaining supporters were Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. I wonder if that tells something.?

Oh, and OXO now wants out, it appears.

Seen that quite a few times. In the first leg as well.

Ox was their best player by a long way.

Felt the same about Barca for years now, going back to Peps team. Reason I never bother with Classicos anymore too.

Not quite true. Hector Bellerin was out there too and was last down the tunnel with Alex. Theo wasn't around by that point.

Unless of course you are referring to the first leg, in which case I've already wiped it from my memory. :)

Suprised no one mentionrd Xabi Alonso retiring?

Fantastic midfielder, one of my favourites in the past 10-15 years.

They need a miracle worker. What has happened to the talent that used to come out of Scotland? When Celtic and Rangers are buying second (Griffiths) and third rate players (Waghorn) from Championship clubs something is clearly amiss.

Well doneDeportivo beating the mighty Barcelona 2-1. I see a Real Madrid fan has set up an online petition to have the CL match between Barca and PSG replayed. \He has managed to get a 100,000 sgnatures so far. Not everyone loves Barca. If I lived in Bacelona I would support Espanyol!! No love lost there then!!

Derby sack McLaren for a second time - I can`t fathom why they re-employed him anyway. I wonder if that`s an opening for Pardew.

Well, he may be biased, but the chap has a point. VAR would have had that match at 4-1 rather than the required 6, and no magnificent achievement. That's the problem with record books. They often don't tell the real story.
