I read that Ruby rides Footpad with Townend on t'other one. What a comedown for Ruby after riding Annie, Faugheen, Hurricane Fly the last years.
Moon Racer is surely not good enough, even against this field? I've never liked the horse for some reason, just never believed the hype I think so that's why I'd be keen on others opinion of the horse.
So what is the reason then when everyone else can confirm jockey bookings? I mean it's not like it's an advantage to withold the details...
I'm sure there is a deadline for declaring the jockey, I don't believe Mullins is doing anything wrong. Maybe they just need longer because they have multiple runners in many races? STH - agree on Moon Racer, he is nowhere near good enough.
But hendo has multiple entries..has 3 in the race and can manage it...must be a reason behind it...maybe it's just there system but feels to me like there is a reason ....probably dodgy
More a case of if the Pipe's think he's good enough, you have to take notice. Wish they'd gone for the Supreme though.
Because the Pipes know what's needed to win a Champion Hurdle? It's been a while since Dad's 2 wins ...................
Thing is, I'm not sure David Pipe knows the time of day with his horses anymore Archers. I believe he knows it's lacking a known superstar on face value and it's open and there for the taking. His horse isn't young and may only get this one shot at it so that's why they are going for it. Hopefully he will run a big race for them and prove them right. I'm being a tad harsh maybe, the horse is talented, I just think maybe not CH winning talented.
Knowing what's needed to win a CH, and having that quality of horse in your yard are two different things. Because David Pipe's never won the race doesn't mean he doesn't know what's required. There's echoes of Valiramix in the the way this one's been prepared - ie, run him once before Christmas, then put him away til March. Which is hardly the usual Pipe MO. I appreciate that this may sound like clutching at straws.
Really? Can you remember a worse Champion Hurdle. Even my fella must have a great chance! (TNO not Squire)
I can't. It lacks that known superstar going into it but perhaps one will emerge with a devastating performance Tuesday.
It's time to give you the champion hurdle winner!!! The word on the street is footpath , beefy you knew!!
