It has been announced in Spain (Catalan Daily Sport) that Cesc has signed for Barca on a 5yr deal. Barca will pay £27 Mill, in addition the £4 Mill signing on fee will be paid to Arsenal. Cesc will go to Barcelona on sunday for a medical and an announcement will follow. This looks like Barca have secured Cesc 'on the cheap' and questions will have to be asked about the 'not less than £40 Mill' price tag Wenger was talking about recently. Are we so desperate for money that we will sell players for much less than their true value? Ronaldo's sale to RM is looking like a good deal for Man U by comparison. It begs the question do Wenger and Gazidis know what they are doing.
31m seems a bargain and questionable negotiation on the part of our management. Mr Gazidis perhaps? No wonder we're looking at replacements valued at £12m.

was reported yesterday the fee would be 30mil + 5mil payments on performance/games/trophies and cesc would forget the 1mil a year payments from arsenal for remainder of contract(4 yrs) total 39mil
we dragged this out to the point where Fab really would not try anymore. So, low transfer fee - Wenger shot us in the foot.
If Fabregas had wanted to go to Man City then we would of got 40m+ easily, Barca just don't have the money.
If they don't have the money we should have told Cesc we won't sell to Barca. We should tell him we'll sell you to anybody for £40m+ - then you can get them to sell you to Barca.....

the premier league will be worse for it..i would have liked arsenal to have stuck their heels in and held out for more. barcas whole attitude in the last couple of years has been nothing less than disgraceful. from every single player of theirs sticking their oar in with comments, to them thinking they can pick him up for peanuts, they might be great on the pitch but they're the most classless team off it.
I will say it yet again, you are believing newspaper reports that have no idea about fees. They were insisting it was done, and it still hasn't been. How can you believe the fee if they can't even get the existence of a deal right?
