    Been such a strange season, pre Xmas was absolutely mental playing twice almost every week due to EL & EFL cup. Then we had that weird 10 day break before 3 games in 5(?) days.

    Then now we're in a period where we've played hardly any games, and yet we're likely to play around 7+ in April <yikes>

    The near 2 month gap between home games is strange too, anyone know if that's happened before?

    I would doubt it.

    Spurs playing today. Hopefully no injuries to key players for them :emoticon-0136-giggl

    Top tune, that. I know the Specials are from Coventry, but when that song was released in the very early eighties, it really seemed to me to describe Southampton...

    "Bands don't play no more;
    Too much fighting on the dancefloor".

    The Jam's "Town Called Malice" also caught the mood. Angry times, the eighties. Perhaps things aren't so bad now after all.

    Plus "Heartland" by The The a couple of years later - much better now than in the 80s, (apart from the music)

    Genius song. Matt Johnson's tracks have always been incredibly prophetic.

    Both (ironically) signature tunes (and there were many) to the great time I had in the early 80s and the great music that was around.
    Never went near the city centre, as you say "Too much fighting on the dancefloor".
    Spent my time in Bevois Valley & St Marys at Club Manhattan, West Indian Club & Joiners.

    He used to water down his beer in Manhattans <laugh>. I did go there a few times though, played a lot of Human League, Soft Cell, Depeche Mode as I recall?

    That West Indian club was famous throughout Southern England. Is it still there do you know?

    We never beat Spurs, for that to happen it takes a steven davis brace or something even more unlikely

    Apparently walked off, so not believed to be serious.

    Still one can always hope. :)

    Excellent news. Never nice to see a player injured (aside from Zlatan) but that has given me significant hope for next weekend.
