Don't disagree, but I think the Lions might just push the ABs quite hard this summer. Can't wait to see how it goes!
As the players are from the 4 home nations it will take time to build the cohesion required. I feel the ABs will win this with a certain degree of comfort if they play like they did last year where Beaudan Barrett was absolutely outstanding. On the other hand, England might just have a game plan to compete with the ABs.
Scotland totally rattled. Feel a bit sorry for them with their injuries, but England have been lethal when presented with opportunities. And pretty disciplined.
So we have to wait until the autumn for the big one!! England v NZ will be the most anticipated international match of any sport this year. Will make sure I am somewhere in downtown Palma de Mallorca to watch it.
Well it has taken a long time to unearth the riches that play in England at the moment but not surprising as the country has the biggest pool of players from which to choose. Still desperately disappointed with France, who should be doing much better than serving up the grunge they have done for the best part of two decades. They need to get back to pinging that bag around at speed.
I've not kept up with England rugby, for a while, but was extremely impressed by our athleticism, ball movement and speed. As has been said above, New Zealand will tell us just how far we have progressed (and progressed we have as we have beaten the Australians 4 times during this run of wins and South Africa once). My other impression, based just on this one game, is that what we have gained as an attacking team, we have lost as a defensive team. We didn't seem to deal too well with pressure within 5 yards of our touch line and I would imagine New Zealand would have have a fair bit of possession in that area. Thoroughly enjoyed the game.
Against Australia and South Africa they had less of the ball. Where NZ are good is when they turnover and explode with speed. In addition they have the genius of Beaudan Barrett, who is the Lionel Messi of rugby union.
Seven tries in one match!! There was many a season when England didn't even score seven tries in a full Six Nations season. They have obviously learned from NZ that tries win matches. Must go to Youtube to find highlights of this match.
Not a good day for Scottish rugby....got thrashed 64-0 in the women's game (Wilson 7 tries) and also beaten 33-5 in the mens U20s.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/39247329 Murray loses 6-4 7-6 to qualifier Pospisil. No consideration....now what am I going to watch.
Have you got Scottish blood coursing through your veins? Despite the loss, Scotland have a much smaller pool of players to choose from so there is no disgrace, and well the men's team managed 3 tries of their own.
Possibly, well, probably. I'm hoping for a closer season between teams this year though. As you know I'm a Hamilton fan but I'm bored of Mercedes just completely dominating.
Wash your mouth out with soap Half my family came from the North East with a good British/Viking name (Scurfield), so possibly some cross boarder activity.
