Just a quick scan and they have had no clashes like a Friday Saturday. They play in a Sunday a lot too. Unlike the black n white scum who changed to Friday nights a few years ago.
Nothing we can do about the ground share, but them playing on Sunday shouldn't be a big deal, was there a reason for them switching to Friday?
I wonder what's better for the pitch - the 2 teams playing at home on alternate weekends or both playing at home on the same weekend therefore giving it 2 weeks 'rest' between games?
It's everything to do with the clowns. It's their fault for everything. Including Brexit. And the ****ty weather. But not the City of Culture.
Just had a quick Google and it seems they played Friday nights in the 2008 and 2009 seasons and there were loads of protests, they switched back for the 2012 season but it wasn't as successful as hoped and they went back to Friday's in 2013.
It's something that should have been decided for good when the ground share was arranged at the start of the stadium. It does make sense for the football team to play first.
Everybody's knows that exept the goons in charge. The fact that the club allowed another sport to rip the pitch to shreds 20 hours before one of our most important games in months just about sums the chuckle brothers up.
Two positives... 1. There are no more games this season scheduled to be the day after an FC game. 2. Marco says things need to change for next season, suggesting he might actually be here next season.
As you yourself stated, what can we do? As landlords, can the SMC order Hull FC to play their games on a Sunday when we're at home the same weekend?
Conversely our form away from home is one draw and five defeats in six games. Pitches must be too flat I suppose.
Knowing the Allams, they could probably find ways to make things difficult for FC if they didn't switch to Sunday's should they wish, but they can't actually directly force them to change. Common sense should come into play here, having to play two games on the pitch in two days is simply daft.
It's the Allam-owned SMC that controls events at the stadium. It's too late for this season now but next season they could stipulate no Friday night fixtures before a home game ?
