a) we've just conceded a goal by doing a Bruce as someone said and b) the way they were playing together it wasn't inconceivable that Hernandez would have scored too, imagine what that would have done for his confidence FOR THE EVERTON game!
it also wasn't inconceivable he'd have got injured leaving us with Diomande for Everton away. Also its an old managerial trick to get a player a confidence boosting round of applause as they're subbed. we won, he didn't get injured, it was the right decision.
This management lark's easy sat in your armchair, after running his socks off for 80 odd minutes AH had more chance of an injury than a goal - it was a good call.
We're not in the best of places league wise and points wise but honestly this is still very much wide open. People will look Burnley and watford on 31 pts and think they're probably safe but that's not true at all, they could easily lose 3/4 on the bounce and suddenly everything changes. But I like the idea that everyone expects us to go down. It'll help/
gillingham player managed a 9 minute hattrick of penalties against scunthorpe to take it from 0-2 to 3-2.
A terrible goal to concede, hard to call Niasse after his two goals but - what the **** was he doing?
