Plain and simply at this goddam level its should be a 4-4-2 every time at home and just let them play football. All this controlling, standing off, 2 defensive midfielders number 10 bollox is just not right for the Championship when you've got a massive squad and spent £60m. Just pick two wingers, two strikers and attack teams. He should have done it all year and we'd be promoted by now. The league isn't great, but we're unbelievably pedestrian at home. Fine, sit, break away from home, nobody can argue with Rafa's away form. But his home form is shocking and embarrassing. It's the negative set-up, the boring formation, the fact we're trying to play in ways that our squad just doesn't allow.
All we can hope for today is a Brentford goal. Hudds have a game in hand and as it stands we look absolutely spent.
I keep saying it and I will say it again. The sooner someone runs over jack colbacks legs the better. Having him in the side is akin to him man marking shelvey because he nullifies shelvey and basically means we have 9 players. Colback is the fault of this team. Since Hayden went out and he came in we have been proper and utter garbage. He is a complete and utter liability. Rafa has to learn that this **** is getting real now. We won't win many playing this drab ****. We have been lucky in the last couple of games and this is what has been coming for a while. Colback out.
It's not even remotely difficult. RItchie/Shelvey/Diame/Atsu behind two strikers. Mind-blowingly obvious.
Fck that - it's not working after the first goal goes in, you HAVE to change it. We are getting bossed after 20 mins, a goal down, creating nothing, you HAVE to change it. We wait and wait and fcking wait. Then 0-2 down. And STILL the moron sits there and waits because it's ingrained to not change til the 60th minute. We barely change anything, 0-3. This is the WORST effort of Rafa's pretty rocky home performance so far.
Agreed. Not that it really matters - even if we had Shearer in his prime we'd still find a way to miss the penalty. I think that's either 8 or 9 we've now missed this season.
Must be nice to be awarded that many! Penalties are a sore point with us - going back to the first game of the season
