Danny Wilson at Liverpool is going to be made available for a loan deal, perhaps a whole season. He is a very talented centre half who is only 19 (maybe 20). He played for Rangers in the SPL, before his big money move to Liverpool and is a Scottish International player. He is a strong centre half with excellent positional sense and ball play, he is also an excellent marker of attacking players and plays like he is much more experienced than he is.
I understand Rangers want him back on loan and will try hard to get the deal done, so Grayson and co, get in there NOW, this guy ticks all the right boxes and may be equal to the salary payments made to current players.

As cover for Tom Lees and Kissa yes, otherwise I want Lees to get a firm foothold in the team, he is good enough and will make the difference.

Can't believe what I'm reading here! There is a chance of having a brilliant centre half for a whole season at a salary we appear to pay other players in the squad and some want to stick with a player who can't get in the first team in the first place. Have any of you actually watched Wilson play, if you had you would be excited about the chance of having this player in the team. Lees will never ever be on the same level as Wilson, hence why he is at Liverpool and a Scotland international, and Lees is a Leeds reserve.

Cant believe you would want a loan player in who would simply leave us short again in a year, if he didnt get recalled, rather than give a lad a chance who has the perfect attitude and attributes for what we need, as well as proven ability, and wh could then provide us with a defensive platfrom for years to come.

****ing short term thinking pal, temp fix. Poor.

You have no idea what would happen if he came, so don't think you do. Lees is a reserve player with limited skills, Wilson has massive potential and is quality even at the age he is. If we won promotion, who knows what could happen. Fed up with people wanting limited quality players, especially when 100% better players are available.

Boab, I think you're about as clued up on Lees as the rest of us are on Wilson. I would say left-back and centre midfield should be the priorities for Grayson when he's operating on the ****ty budget he is. If there's some to spare, yes, why not go for Wilson too.

Lees is not a reserve player considering he's better than that bag of **** O'Brien, and he's hungrier (and more skilled, aware, etc) than Bruce and Bromby.

the way way Bates and Larry are performing - you'll probably end up up with Harold Wilson:emoticon:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm-0102-bigsm

The way we're going with signings, we're more likely to end up with this guy:

On this ****ty budget as you say,Grayson has managed to overload the squad with SIX CB's with the addition of O'Dea.
I can only assume he's been signed to play at LB,which if that's the case is a criminal waste of his ****ty budget,as he quite clearly is no left-back. Why not get a specialist LB in or use what we have? It defies belief that Grayson's done that.
Six centre backs & no decent full backs on a ****ty budget...
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??????

Perhaps a 'specialist' left-back of any quality can't be attracted with the low wage threshold we operate under? Perhaps O'Dea was actually brought in to cover for O'Brien and Kisnorbo at centre-back, since Bromby and Bruce are hardly top Championship defenders and Lees is unproven at this level and might be seen as more of a full back? Perhaps Grayson's already tried to attract several left-backs and been rebuffed by Bates but is still on the lookout and O'Dea's just there to plug a gap in the meantime and in the event of injury/suspension/callups? There's no way we can know either way; all we can do is intelligently speculate.

Wilson went to Blackpool yesterday. Definitely seems he was one we should have got to play alongside Lees. Kisnorbo, O'Dea, Bromby and Bruce don't inspire confidence. Shame that the club couldn't get him.
