Just watch as a new manager comes in and the board extend all the old guards contracts another year in the summer! :emoticon-0136-giggl

If they do, I'm not sure I'd EVER renew my season ticket as long as Delia et al have anything to do with NCFC!!

Slightly ironic that AN talked about altering the squad which he had singularly failed to do in the last couple of transfer windows and then gets the boot at least a year too late IMO but done now.

Win the next 10 (ten) games even the away ones and we will finish top 6 (six).

AS has been said before, the timing of the announcement
I'd go as far as to say 15 months - ie Xmas 2015, but hopefully we can move on now and today's starting 11 could be interesting, as will the tactics. I don't expect significant changes today, but more likely next week when I'll be back at CR!!!

I would like to see a 2 man attack with Lafferty and Jerome McGovern in goal and no Martin or Naismith.

Congratulations to all you who wanted him out, and safe to say the atmosphere had become pretty toxic in Norwich NR1 and on here, timing seems strange though and the execution of it, careless. Just hope that whoever takes over is prepared to go down the youth route, or the Maddisons and the Godfreys etc, etc can begin to pack their bags now, which would be a shame, because the senior players have certainly proved they´re not up to it.

Interesting take on the timing of AN's sacking by Sky's Simon Thomas, he seems to think that the man the Board wants may only be available for a short time so they've had to move quickly.....
    .... Hmm? :emoticon-0138-think

Not sure quite how to understand that, or whether we should take that as an encouraging sign or not KIO, I mean, if he´s terminally ill and has only got 3 months to live, we´re not going to be much better off :emoticon-0111-blush Seriously though, this is a hugely important decision, as they always are.

    Hmmm...........

Roy was favs for the Leicester job before Shakespeare got appointed. Constant talk about job offers from China, and we know he has been linked with a role for us before, and his links to Delia....

Rowett is still out there. He's young and exciting manager, he did well with no money, and having to rely on the youth system. linked to Premiership clubs like Swansea this season. Only sacked because new owners wanted a big name manager. They were on the brink of the playoffs, now Birmingham are worrying about being dragged into relegation.

Tim Sherwood - Ex-Norwich player, Young, wants to be progressive. Risky after his Villa stint.

Pardew - People love or hate him. Good record for getting up and staying up. Does really well for stints, but as we know, he will then get into a winless run that he can't get out of. Plus wages would be silly.

Walburton - Did fantastic at Brentford, really liked his Brentford side. Rangers it didn't go well, bit of a poisoned chalice of a job. Apparently though, the football his Rangers team were playing was awful.

Pearson - Solid, Takes no sh*t, I'd think he would clear out players like Naismith if he didn't get the work rate out of them. Strongly linked back to Leicester, some fans and Players wanted him back. Didn't set the world alight at Derby though.

Mike Phelan - Knows the club, seemed to do alright for a bit when he took over at Hull. Some fans here wanted him to be given a chance. Probably some potential to be a decent manager. I'm not keen on him though.

Ranieri - <laugh>. Imagine if we didn't buy the players we needed, and told us they were skint, because they were building a fund to put in place a top manager if the possibility arose? The board then offer him and big wage, and a massive promotion bonus! Then we would all look silly for slating the board!

:emoticon-0136-giggl Giggs, Lampard and Gerrard in the betting :emoticon-0114-dull:

    :emoticon-0138-think

My Guess would be Irvine til the end of the season, even if he loses today.

Looks like Motherwell are looking for a new manager. Wouldn't be surprised to see AN pop up there. Have Rangers appointed that foreign manager? Or are they just expected to?

Come off it. It's hardly been toxic. I don't know why you are congratulating those who wanted him out, they personally gain nothing. It's the board you should be congratulating for doing the right thing, all be it about 6 months too. With very few exceptions there's hardly been any personal attacks on AN. Most posters on here have just had a different view to you and expressed them. I don't know where you've got the idea that AN is suddenly the main man for developing our youth setup, but I'm not aware of many facts to support it. McNally is probably the man who has been responsible more than most for the strategy, with then decision to upgrade our academy. People like Neil Adams & Dmitri Halajko have done just as much if not more for our youth as AN. The club has had a strategy of going down the youth route for some years and it will still take a year or 2 before the policy should start showing results. The policy was never AN's it was the clubs and if the club want to maintain it, which I think they should do, then it's down to the club to appoint someone as manager who is been going to follow the policy.
