Who's the best striker you've seen in a city shirt?
Based on ability to put the ball in the net and you actually saw play

    I'll start: Andy Payton

Definitely Ken Wagstaff for me - scary accuracy and ice cool.

Andy Payton was a pretty good shout though.

I've seen a few, but I really liked Danny Allsopp, always thought it was a shame he quit us early to go back home.

Keith Edwards. Though missed Waggy in his prime

    Difficult one this.
    Has to be waggy
    Edwards
    Mutrie
    Payton.
Not much between them and we could do with one of them now

I find it impossible to choose between Payton and Edwards too. Edwards had an amazing record...Over 250 league goals I recall, but Payton was so lethal for us from such a young age. You'd put your house on both scoring given half a chance in the box. I also really rated Alex Dyer too, not quite as prolific but very skilful.

It's been slim pickings since then for strikers. Um.....Proschwitz?

    Allsopp was great.

Fryatt too. I'm certain we would've won the league in 12/13 if Fryatt was up top, he would've got at least 20 goals in that team.

Ken Wagstaff without a doubt, and his striking partnership with Chris Chilton was the best we have ever had.

Same for me. Such a formidable striking duo.

Aye. I imagine he's grateful to Hull for offering the opportunity the ER fail to provide. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Keith Edwards from the very start of my City supporting days but the main one for me would be Andy Payton

Sadly I'm too young to have ever seen Waggy and Chillo

Hull City was grateful that ER provided their greatest ever goalscorer, something that no one from Hull managed to provide for them. And that he chose City over all the league clubs in the ER of course.
