0-2 down against Spurs at home in Feb 2012, they were 10 points ahead and looking at being 13 points ahead at that point. We then went on to smash the ****s 5-2. After that game they collapsed and we overhauled their 10 point lead to finish above them yet again
March last year, at St Marys (nearly said The Dell). Saints 0-2 down to Liverpool, getting overrun in midfield. Koeman makes a double substitution at HT. On come Sadio Mane and Victor Wanyama. Mane misses a penalty but it still finishes Saints 3-2 Liverpool. How'dya like them apples Klopp you designer spec wearing metrosexual weirdo? Of course Liverpool, the unimaginative Billy-Big-Bollocks bastards, respond by buying Mane and adding him to their considerable collection of ex Saints players. But luckily he was away in Africa when we beat them over two legs in the EFL Cup semi final, with Wanyama and Koeman also gone. So **** you Klopp, **** you Liverpool, and **** Everton, Spurs and all the rest of the ****ing vultures hovering over our club every summer .
Wanyama changed that game. Pools midfield was rampant till he came on and dominated the middle of the pitch
Mane had thrown a whopper of a strop in trying to force through a move to utd in January and was also dropped a fair bit at the beginning of 16 because of attitude problems, he was on fire towards the end of the season. Wanyama's ill discipline was very frustrating also. He was sent off three times last year for saints on top of God knows how many yellow cards
I'm sure Mane will get his dream move one day. I was worried about Wanyama's discipline when we signed him, but he seems to have sorted himself out. He's been excellent for us, so far. Very few bad games.
I must admit I was expecting Big Vic to be pushing Dele Ali hard at the top of the Red Card table this season. I'm quite disappointed in the guy.
We had a weird year between October 2007 and October 2008. Oct 07 ... 4-1 v villa with 18 mins to go and drew 4 all. Dec 07 ... 2-1 , 3-2 and 4-3 down v Reading but ended up winning 6-4. Feb 08 ... 1 nil down in carling cup final v chelsea but won 2-1 April 08 ... 3-1 down v chelsea but drew 4 all Oct 08... 4-2 down v arsenal with 88 mins gone but still drew 4 all Three 4 all draws and a 6-4 win in 12 months and all were excellent come backs
I like how that post started by answering the thread but turned into a rant You forgot to mention Lovren getting hooked at ht due to getting dogs abuse though To be fair Vic got 3 red cards for us and all were last season. None in the previous 2. Plenty of yellows though
I sent myself into rant mode when I realised that 3 instrumental figure in that game, Koeman Mane and Wanyama, plus the scorer of our first goal (Pelle), had all left the club.
Arsenal's would have to be making it to the top Flight in1919 through " Negotiation " and nothing to do with football . The only club to " Accomplish " such a feat in the history of the League . Now that's a comeback ....lol
He went to ground a lot when he first joined Spurs, which he's since reduced quite a lot. I've been really impressed with him.
This was great. 2-0 down to Saints in an FA Cup replay, live on the telly. Rosenthal introduced at the break, scores twice to put it into extra-time, gets his hat-trick and we score three more. Every still remembers him for that miss, though. Luckily not for us.
Can't imagine what it would have been like to be at the 99 final. I still get shivers when I think back to watching it in the pub! I accidentally stubbed a cigarette out on some stranger after I lost control. Managed not to **** or piss myself though
I think it's a type of sexual disease. My teams greatest remontada was when Daniel Sturridge snogged the wrong prostitute in summer training in Thailand.
