Stick with, you'll hate every ****er in it by season 2 but be addicted. The writing and acting is good the only bad thing so far is the end of season 3 which was disappointing.
I'd have to sort agree with that. Watched 2 and 3 and frankly I might bin it from now on. The first series was good and interesting, but the follow ons have really stretched the story. Both S2&3 had ridiculously disappointing endings and the characters are just unlikeable so there isn't even someone to drag you back in .

Cole isn't, he represents the good in us all where everyone else is intentionally a dick of a human being, it highlights how selfish people can be and how far they will go to meet their own needs. I think that the show is a refreshing change to what else is out there. I love to hate the characters, it must be intentional.
It's the point of the show though, everyone is warped and a twat other than one couple. And all the others constantly get to drag them into their sordid world.
I would say the most disappointing is the story. It does seem to be rambling now. Like they had an idea for a initial story that would last one series, then saw its popularity and how well it did and then had to come up with a way to add more to it. The reveal of the murder was **** and frankly if the real truth had come out then the whole prison thing would have been null as that whole thing was ludicrous. On a different note. Started watching Stranger Thing the other day. So far its brilliant. Feels like classic Spielberg with a horror element attached.
It's a good watch but nothing special and I don't think it'll go on for many series, one more would do it IMO. With The Affair I liked season 3 until the last episode I hope there another one but it should be to finish the whole thing off, it will before trash if it goes on too long. I think the characters are written better than the story and I want closure.
RE Speilburg: there are definite nods to Poltergeist, Close Encounters and ET. Then come the West Craven, Stephen King influences etc...I can't wait for second series.
Watched Arrival. I really liked it...had the feeling of the 50's alien B movies with the morality tale that had more to do with us than the aliens. Only other recent films that felt the same only totally different visuals..Another Earth and District 13. The rest played lip service to the intellectual reasoning behind Alien Encounters and focused on the blowing up ****....an attempt at being smart ...well done. 1) lazy trumper ****...Although slightly prescient lol 2) RHC will hate this film for its non linear time bullshit lol
Ok top gear review time: I just watched it after recording 1. I would say theres been a bit more thought put in this year... and listening to criticisms. 2. show has still fallen into a trap why? Ok the good is that the brought back the track and dumped ti idiocy of a rally corss thing, the got a car thats fast in for celebs and actually thought about the set and what to sit on. They got shut of 4 presenters and have 3 now. All 3 sat round guest and they did "the news" and talked to guest and that was MUCH better for the show the bad: they have fallen into roles: Harris is being may. Its so obvious and scripted and fake. Ried is hammond cos he is short and obviously le blanc is clarkson... they need to stop this and be themselves. they also got rid of stig by the look of it maybe... not sure It might be a 6/10 type show. much better but still falling into a litte trap.
Just finished House of Cards. 9/10 Quite looking forward to the 5th and hopefully last Season. Kevin Spacey really is a fine actor, can't imagine anyone else playing Frank Underwood.
You really have to see the original one then I agree though... it should end to preserve it. keep making is a bad trap to fall into.
yeah house of cards is great. Spacey and Wright really make the show. Thought season 3 was a bit pants but was back to its best in the 4th
