What a load of bollox. JP told LJ what he thought of him. DT has said enough is enough, moving on. Do you think we are thick ****s you idiot. Get rid of this muppett and take Johnson with you. A inexperienced head coach, with a even less experienced assistant coach. The club is being run by clowns I'm afraid guys. There were Ten sts that sit around me that voted with their feet, and there was large holes everywhere last evening. We are a joke club, with a joke owner and management team.
He comes across as a smooth talker and I wanted to believe every word he said, but I didn't. When someone says "trust me" I tend to turn off and look for other signs of the real meaning of the words coming forth and nothing in the rest of the interview filled me with confidence. It was very noticeable that the interview was held in the boardroom and not the usual seats in the stands where the plebs sit because heaven forbid that they should seen as anything other than corporate beings. There probably was some element of truth behind his words but when he said they are aware of the problems and are addressing them with Lee firmly at the helm, under the whip of SL, I lost whatever was left in my faith that things will turn around. John Pemberton was never the problem and it was Lee that dumped him. Shame on all of them because they claim to be hearing the roar of discontent but obviously aren't listening and are prepared to bungle on under probably the worst manager in our history. When he talked about preparing for next season can I assume that he is talking about League One, because that's where we are heading if nothing is done about our current manager, and I'm sorry to tell you this Lee but all the respect I had for you as a player under trying circumstances has gone the way of the dodo.
Your version of seeing through the bullshit seems to be saying things like 'JP told LJ what he thought of him.' as if they are fact.
Does SL and LJ think we are all stupid? Feed us bulls--t and expect us to swallow it. Fact is SLs project, bit like his five pillars is a crock of s--t. Whilst I commend his off field improvements he clearly has no idea when it comes to on field success. Why does he think, after all of the piss poor results that Junior has conjured up for us and Barnsley that we are suddenly going to turn things around and compete at a higher level? Does he not watch the dross that has been served up to us every matchday. This all boils down to the fact that by admitting he has appointed a failure means he loses face. His ego is the single biggest problem our club faces.
listened to it twice and it did seem pretty much an OK moment. THERE WAS a factual line of truth in so much as DT was brushed off, a reasonably sound explanation regarding JP was forthcoming. one thing that seems absolutely nailed on is LEE AINT GOING ANYWHERE and we have to live with that fact, I have stated elsewhere I believed that would be the course and it seems that is the way we are going . As for the interview in the boardroom, well outside it is cold wet and miserable! and the extension lead wouldn't reach!
Spot on Red Hub and until he changes his stripes we are doomed to this same dross for years to come. League One and empty seats still won't open his eyes as he will only look at how it affects the bottom line and how the overall corporate structure looks good on paper. Many other clubs have to endure owner interference but this current level is shocking and detrimental to Bristol City and it's supporters, but who other than us gives a damn?
Ashton calling for unity is unbelievable. If we go down as seems likely it wont be SLs fault or LJs fault or MAs fault, it will be ours, the fans we will be to blame for not being unified.
Mike I am sure that with a prawn sandwich in hand and a glass of champers at half time, things dont look that bad to Lansdown. The guy, as with many owners does not occupy the real world that the rest of us poor sods do. If he gets a bit fed up he probably flies off to his game lodge in Botswana for the week on his private jet. If I get fed up after another defeat the wife tells me I am a miserable barsteward and gives me a list of sh-tty jobs to do.
I'm not sure what you lot expected him to say.....it's all **** and we're going down.. It is what it is, it will all go, one of two ways!! It seems, the only way LJ will get pushed is if we go down.. Everyone on this forum can continue in vain with the "LJ out" .....not gonna happen! just need to get behind the players!
Sadly pembo was part of the problem. He's had one good season since he's been here, granted that season was amazing but I still think he had to go. Des Taylor, ah yes the man who left on the 29th of January. What a waste of time he was.
There must be a reason that LJ is staying, they must see something particularly good in him which we don't. I don't buy the whole SL and his ego thing, it's happened many times before.
SL has this vision of a young, dynamic forward thinking management team and sustainable football club. He also wants somebody who is going to agree with everything he says. Whilst LJ may be able to spout the theoretical side of the game he clearly has poor man management and motivational skills. Its results that sustain football clubs not power point presentations.
Agreed but it's only the rumours which suggest he has poor man management skills. In interviews he does seem very personable let's face it.
