    Something needs to keep this dying thread going just a little bit...

    Interesting article on Sky from Kevin Phillips from when he was coach under Ranieri (and with Shakespeare).

    Basically what I and many Leicester fans were saying from the start but the media sheep did insist on knowing better

    ...although it needs to be kept in mind that KP lost his role with us when Ranieri brought in some of his own assistants ... I'm always a little sceptical of those that are wise after the event ...reality is that Ranieri managed the club to the title...and deserves the credit for that ...but similar to Mourinho before him ...things then went wrong...we may never know exactly why that was ...but the memories will always be there...:)

    I do agree with that but do think all these accounts fill gaps left by the media hate. I know you're a lot more pro Ranieri than me which is fine, we all think a bit differently. I do think that if people want to give him all the credit for last year they should achknowledge his failings this.
    I'm also disappointed in him that he hasn't achknowledged this himself and seems happy to go to ground and let the club take all the club. I've lost a lot of respect for him for that

    As far as I'm concerned , how well Leicester have done in Champions League is responsible for how poor they have done domestically and Ranieri's appetite for Europe was a big part of that .
