The MacCallister hiring smells of some corporate scheming behind the scenes and is not connected directly to the loss of JP. What is our fearless leader up to I would like to know because nothing is ever as it appears when he has pulled the strings.

I actually listened to the game tonight and several things came to my attention. It seemed as if we did very little of anything for the first 70 minutes and when we made the subs we went on the attack and were rewarded by a goal. Was that because the new formation had 2 up top and they were able to complement each other or have I totally lost the point, although I will get back to it later. The last 20 minutes were why people go to Ashton Gate and the noise level ramped up to make a great background for me. I think we were lucky to only be down 0-1 at halftime but in reality we needed the 3 points and when you look at the other results that statement becomes truer.

Listening to the after match chats on Radio Bristol and the tweets etc it was painfully obvious that all participants wanted Lee Johnson out and they gave virtually all the same reasons. They moaned about his insistence of playing a lone striker relying on good defence to carry the day and most people that I heard felt that was a major downfall in Lee's tactics. His insistence in making poor team selections and formations plus some suspect substitutions, although in his favour he seems to have got it close to right tonight. The message the callers wanted to make is that they are very disappointed with Bristol City and frustrated by the lack of action by SL to even contemplate changes. They don't want Bristol City relegated, as don't I, but they are not so sure anyone who can implement change is listening to the roar of discontent.

Sad state of affairs if you ask me.

First half poor- Midfield were not looking for the ball. Smith and Reid very poor.
Djuric, Taylor and latterly, Tomlin changed the game.
Wright was MoM for me. Another assured performance and a goal as well.

Redprint had pointed out to me Cotterells liking for passing the ball backwards rather than going forward.Thought he was awful tonight, particularly 2nd half.

'**** first half, then when we went 4-4-2 it was a lot better'

Morning RODney, it was better from the time they scored in the 40th minute.
I would suggest it had nothing to do with 4-4-2, it was everything to do with Norwich sitting back.
Have you forgotten the last time we played 2 up front - Fulham passed us off the park.
We're just not good enough, our manger is out of his depth.

LJ started with baffling personnel changes, yet another team set up change and a stronger looking bench than the 11 that started.
Norwich got what they deserved, in fact their totally negative approach from the 40th minute deserved FA.

You may be glad to know, certainly some will, that I've finished with BCFC.
I cannot in all honesty continue supporting a regime that treats fans like village idiots.
I resigned from a dictator, Maxwell, over 30 years ago and I've resigned from another, Lansdown, today.
LJ,with his football 'speak' has Lansdown and the other yes men totally fooled.
My season card has been posted back to BCFC.

You could argue that LJ's substitutions changed the game whereas Alex Neil's did not :emoticon-0136-giggl:emoticon-0136-giggl:emoticon-0136-giggl

RP - my philosophy is to keep supporting the shirt - not the people involved - you'll keep going (though maybe not this year if you have sent them your SC!)

The comments you posted redprintt were exactly the same issues voiced by all of the call-ins after the match on Radio Bristol and one voiced his dislike for Bristol Sport by saying we support Bristol City and not some corporate entity. I can understand your anger because you're not the only person wondering why we even bother and it was the first time this season I have bothered to listen to the game. We obviously lay our support at the feet of people not worthy of anything, yet alone our hard earned money, and still they continue to slap our faces telling us we don't understand what they are trying to achieve. I have finally realised they don't know what they are doing other than upsetting and insulting the people who pay most of the bills and fill the seats in Lansdown's Palace. The commentators last night mentioned the empty seats which I presume is a possible sign of season ticket holders staying away for various reasons and a phone-in mentioned that he was not bothering anymore.

The saddest part of all this mess is that Steve Lansdown will never change his stripes because being a control freak is in his genes and is part of where he is as a businessman, but it's hard to take when we all know that when it comes down to running a football club the idiot hasn't got a clue. Smirk.

Redprintt, I hope you will reconsider as the club needs the fans to back them now more than ever. Also, this board will be poorer for your departure, yes you can be polarisng but I like that, a sense of balance is what's needed on this site and I think you bring that. I for one will miss your posts, usually they are insightful and on the money (unless its about LJ).

I hope if we ever turn this corner you'll be back.

Dont blame you mate. It is not our club anymore and you will not be the last. I to worked for Maxwell and had my pension robbed. Perhaps SL might get himself a yacht like Bob!
