Gregory Mandapat: The years of balancing the books at Arsenal has turned Arsene Wenger into an accountant. Move upstairs and make it official. (Twitter on BBC Football)
It didn't help though. I am not even sure it was a foul. Absolutely shocking decision. Bottom line though Bayern are better than any English team. I would be concerned how you folded though. No pride or desire to my eyes.
HIAG trialing the positive wum here. The positive wum otherwise known as the disingenuous wum, is often hard for the wum recipient to decipher. A true black art to perfect it. I think you over did it with this one mate.
He looked close to tears in the presser when asked if that would be the last time he managed Arsenal in the CL. He's hung on too long and it is quite sad to see his era end this way, 20 years ffs, he deserves a better ending than this
Persecution complex so common amongst Spud fans especially stupid ones..........that wraps you all up then!
Thanks, mate. I did try to resist, you have to believe me on that. Still, I'm not going to scoff, as the old HIAG would. I've had my fun - in moderation - and I will be content with that. Besides, I have a big appointment, today, at ten two...
Let's be right the Gooners got gang raped on prime time TV - twice. It was like an action replay It deserves rampant piss taking
I agree it's sad, but he's only got himself to blame. He should of left on a high at the end of last contract after thr FA Cup.
It was a soft pen and the red card was ludicrous. We're actually playing really well up until that point. Killed the game and then we just fell apart.
Agreed, mate. If that had been Spurs, I have absolutely no doubts that the level of wummery would have gone nuclear. I think the Gooners on this board are getting off lightly.
True Piskie...that's why I don't get the outrage by a lot of your own fans. I guess the relationship is gone for good when logic suggests cut the man some slack but he doesn't get any...Bayern are good but heads dropped way too much...I've not seen a sending off to result in such a capitulation for a long time, nowadays teams seem savvy to it. You boys were still pushing up....I won't blame Wenger but more so the players. 11 v 11 it was tight...that suggests Wenger had it sussed. The players think they are better than their performances suggest. My only criticism of Wenger would have been that he should have taken Xhaka off and put a CB in....damage limitation, tie was dead.
I understand the anger at the ref changing the card fron yellow to red, but it was a red card offence in two ways. He made no attempt to play the ball and he was also the last man. The ref should have taken more time to consider the decision. That is the first time I've seen one of those officials behind the goal do anything at all.
