That's account for about 12/13 mil max including klopps wages this year.

There was a few out yes.... but equally until we can compare playing staff to playing staff for each club this only gives a rough guide.

I honestly think there is a lot of guessing and bullshit spoken about players wages to salve peoples minds.
Yes City paid stupid wages to build a squad when the Arabs first took over, yes United pay Rooney (and probably Zlatan) around £250k/week but beyond that there is not much difference between any of the top teams.
What makes me think/believe this is the fact that teams like United, Chelsea and (now they have calmed down) City have no problem moving players on because of wage demands. This implies other teams meet them quite happily meaning they must be the going rate. City did have a problem when they were desperate to attract players at the start, Bridge and Adebayor were a prime examples of that but they have had no further problems as far as I know.
Just a thought, do the owners, chairman etc get included in the wage bill?

TV money certainly helps pay the inflated wages of a lot of players in the prem.

One thing I know for sure is lfc pay about the same at the top end as chelsea do.

Chelsea got up to that 150k range early but they stuck there and have not hit the mad 300k a week city and utd have.

Hazard and coutinho are now on 180k per week

I know that not many other lfc players top 100k but milner, Henderson, Firmino and sturridge and now lallana do. I think nobody else does now. That's actually quite a few. 5 of first team and the crock.

    Wijnaldum and Mane come close.

I suppose the best way to look at it is the team who played Leicester got paid a million quid collectively for that shambles of a week.

It's hard to see where 200 mil gets spent honestly. As that's 4 times what first 11 get paid

Our lowest first team earner is on 65k, Lovren.

    Mingolet maybe on less.

If the average wage is around 50k then we certainly over pay.

Like I suggested, there are not only players on a clubs wage bill.

    adding this to mix

The amount of £15,669,000 for ‘redundancy and associated costs’ is in our annual accounts. that the costs of getting shut of rogers and his ****s.

so thats MOSt of our loss of 20mil.

Any other cynical cretin like myself think that's part of the reason the likes of gomez and other young players don't get as many games as we think they should? If you've already 2-3 players sitting on bigger wages and you play him...1) you're wasting the money spent on them and 2) he'Lloyd quickly want the same since he's actually playing!

    I know I know..Breitbart lol

Jurgen Klopp has dropped his biggest hint that Liverpool could make some quality signings in the summer transfer window.
The Merseyside outfit were 3-1 winners against top-four rivals Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday evening courtesy of goals from Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum.
Liverpool’s win against Arsene Wenger’s out-of-sorts side was only the 18-time English champions’ second Premier League win of 2017 after a disappointing start to the calendar year.
The Merseyside club finished in eighth place in the Premier League table last season which prompted Klopp to sign seven players in the summer transfer window.
    How
Speaking to the media about Liverpool’s lack of quality, Klopp said:
“So, OK, you [the media] say it is about quality and sometimes probably, yes, we don’t have the quality.
“But with quality you have potential, and you make quality with work and all that stuff.”
ever, Liverpool have still struggled to close the gap on their title rivals despite the Reds hoisting themselves into the top four.

I have thought that from time to time.

We must consider that coutinho started on 10k here.

I can't see that if all clubs report all staff from top to bottom in salaires how we have managed to bascially be the worst just like that form 2011 were we sold off the crown jewels (or not depending on perspective) cos they were on 100k or 80k etc.

    as of now:

    mingolet: 60k
    Clyne: 70k Matip 70k Lovren 65k Milner 120k
    Lallana 110k Henderson 100k Wijnaludm 90k
    Mane 90k Firmino 100k coutinho 180k

that 1.055million to just step on the pitch

    Bensh:

    karius 15k, klavan 55k, moreno 40k, lucas 80k sturridge 120k origi 25k can 55k

    plus 390k on bench

In short if we did this for spurs I think they would not be 70% of this. We have IMO rewards some players like henderson and that a bit much but recent signing wages seem to have shot up too.

I wonder what this number would be for the other top 6 sides.... cost even at this I am STRUGGLING to figure out were exactly 200mil comes from. a lot of kids and stuff must be paid vast sums and also the bonuses must be astounding.

The report was based upon the 12 months up to the 31 May 2016. The likes or Winji, Klavan and Mane et al. weren't on the books then.

Wasn't Bentekkers on ridiculous money for his ability? How much was Balotteli being paid by us to play for Milan? There were no other big earners to leave in that period? Skrtel? Allen and Kolo weren't on much.

Taking into account that we had to pay off Rodger's and his cronies whilst bringing in Klopp and his Gestapo, I still don't see where this has come from? Lala and Couts got their pay hikes this last couple of months.

He couldn't see himself breaking the first team for Chelsea...and without reading on I'm guessing that the rest of the story is that he saw an opportunity at Liverpool with the crock of ****e that we had up front so thought that it would be easy to break into a mid table team like Liverpool. <ok>

I think we need to be patient with players, Victor Moses was not good enough at certain time with Chelsea, he went on loan to several clubs including
Liverpool. All the clubs he was loaned to never bid for him and make his loan permanent. Now, he is icing on the cake for Chelsea.
Do not write off any player.
