Saturday again showed lack of invention and ideas from the touchline. I know Moyes for whatever reason is limited for choices to have to make do with what you have. We struggle to score goals. How about the two young kids Asoro and Maja? Let's give them twenty minutes together either side of Defoe. Pace in abundance. Or, how about putting Kone up front towards the end and go route one. You have to try and change games if things aren't going well. We have no plan B other than putting Khazri on with 10 mins to go...
Dead right unfortunately Dour Dave seems to be singing from a different hymnsheet lets hope it aint the fat ladies.-
In the past we have always seemed to lift ourselves against the top teams. The problem in the main is that the game is played over 90 minutes plus....once the first goal went in heads dropped and we ended up chasing shadows after that.....no doubt parts of the first half was very good as we have done in other games as well. We just can't seem to sustain it...
Yep - the all important first goal that causes both teams to change their game plan to suit. ManC playing keep ball was bound to come, and for all we lost we did not give up.
I agree with that....but we don't seem to be creative enough to come up with another game plan...or at least we have tried one. Yes, humping the ball up to Kone with hopefully a flick on for Defoe is not pretty but hey...nothing ventured, nothing gained and at least would be a plan. The Premier League is as brutal as it comes in football to try and get the points. Yes, Defoe hit the post and all that and it could have been a case...if your aunty had balls she would be your uncle....but at the end of the day we got no pints from it on a weekend where nearly everyone else got something. The clock is ticking now....desperate times need desperate measures...let's exhaust all possible options before it's too late.
When they were playing keep ball we didn't put them under any pressure. We allowed them to have the ball in their own half and still left huge spaces for them in ours. Its been the same all season.
I for one thought the lads played okay vs Man City... it must be demoralising chasing shadows against great players (why they are worth 30-90 million quid!!) Agree, that Moyes has no plan B but more annoying was the idiots around me & @MaradonerKebab who were moaning all game long. And it beggars belief watching the stadium starting to empty with 10 mins to go Getting 40,000+ every home game is amazing and shows how loyal our fans really are..... watching the same fans disappear just negates the myth of our passion !!! Keep the Faith....
I ended up on the piss until the early hours with a couple of Irish lads who were over to support Sunderland..They ended up getting hoyed out of the last bar we were in for grabbing a lasses arse on the dance floor..
I didn't see it happen, but the doorman came up to me and told me what had happened..He was actually quite apologetic and said that he had no choice..
