MUFC have had some difficult trips to the Hawthorns in recent seasons and lucky not to be beaten on our last trip.WB are no push overs at home, especially now under RH that they have learned how to defend, so this seasons visit could prove just as difficult for the Champions.

Once again we will face our ex stopper Ben Foster who will be out to prove a point to both dug outs on Sunday, lets hope he proves SAF right because he is capable of real heroics if he is in the zone.WB`S record signing Shane Long should make his debut and his partnership with Odemwinge will make for a testing time for our defence.

We go into the game having played some fantastic Football in pre-season, our play at times has been more like Man United`s swash-buckling style of old.We look far more dynamic with Cleverley and Welbeck in the team and I hope they start against the Baggies. If we play as we did at Wembley I think we will win 3-1.

Cleverley won't start but Welbeck will imo. I think we'll go with Carrick and Anderson in the centre of the park.

Yeah Sunday can't come quick enough. Nice chicken dinner,a few pints and a Super Sunday double header with United topping the bill. Then there's El Grand Classico that night. Gonna have a headache come Monday morning in work!

Hodgson is a good manager so it will be tricky but I think we'll sneak it 2-1

It is yeah. 9 o'clock start I think so I need to decide whether to lay off the drink for a couple of hours or just carry on til it starts. Have a feeling that I'll wind up choosing the latter option.

Easier to stop a run-away train, better to blaze on and hope for the best!

I wonder where Sanchez is going to play for Barca, Pedro would rightly feel hard done by to be dropped.

It probably will be Pedro's place though. Can't see Villa being dropped. They also have Thiago who looks fantastic and Fabregas to come in too. It's just not fair! <cry>

I think we will go 4-4-2. Hope to see Welbeck and Rooney but I think Berba will partner the latter. Interesting to see in the centre of midfield. Is Giggs available, if so I'd like to see Giggs and Ando with Young and Nani on the wings.

    2-0 United.

I think Carrick needs to play in our away games especially, he provides that extra cover for the CB`s.

Chances are that we will be sitting quite deep anyway, Carrick as a shield isn't required IMO, I'd like more mobility in midfield to close down the opposition. But that's just my way of looking at it.

Would rather see Cleverly Anderson in the middle if it isn't Carrick. When Giggs and Ando played together in preseason, Ando had to sit really to deep to cover Giggs forays forward. Ando's defensive positioning isn't one of his stronger traits. Plus Ando and Cleverly played really well together in the 2nd half of the Community Shield.

I think we will start with the same team that started the Community Shield. Berbatov could come in for Welbeck and personally I would love to see Cleverley start in place of Carrick. He looked fitter, sharper, quicker and we created much more with him on the pitch. I think De Gea's nerves will have settled down a touch and we need a decent game from him to get his confidence back up. I have no worries about the team, I feel whoever plays we can win this game but we need an early goal.

West Brom have made a few signings and Foster is likely to be the key man tomorrow. Point to prove against his old club and on his debut looking for a good first impression. Shane Long and Odemwingie are two decent strikers but will they work well together? Brunt's set pieces are dangerous and Mulumbu keeps them ticking in the middle.

They have a strong, physical side but we should match them and I think an early goal will quieten down the home supporters (though it didn't really happen last season).

    West Brom 1-3 United

I'm going to get straight to the point a predict a 3-0 United win. No messing about you'll give a good performance and no doubt Sir Alex will capitalise on the victory and use the confidence boost to take forward into the next game.

I'm a Liverpool fan but try to be as neutral as possible and with any team I have to be fair and say good luck tommorow <ok>

Have a feeling it'll end up 1-1 or 2-2. We've gone into the first match confident before and made a slow start (Newcastle a couple of years ago springs to mind). But I'm hoping I'm wrong!

And no, I'm not nolhman
