The ellesmere port Astra factory and luton van factoryare far more efficient and make more cash than anything peugot/citreon have. But the part french state owned manufacturer willl close the British plants to protect the jobs of their citizens. Shame our goverment has forgotten its first duty and is pandering to idiots and right wing zealots.

    You must be proud..,

It was mid 1.2's and now its mid1.1's. It has revovered about half what it lost. It was nearly parity for a couple of days.

But both euro and pound have plunged versus the dollar because of the uncertainty. Most trade is done in dollars and we are a cheap date now.

Heres some thoughts for those who want to think rather than shout yah! Boo!

Some would say the Brexiteers could not believe their luck when they won the referendum, you could see it on their faces, which is why they are so paranoid about anything which may stop it.

Brexit could be stopped, or reversed before fully implemented. I think the signs are there. Corbyn has made a bad mistake not trying to lead an anti brexit coalition - even if unsuccessful Labour would then be placed to get the "I told you so" vote on the rebound.

I think people are positioning themselves and trying to decide when to move. You have Tony Blair ratcheting things up, though I think he is disliked by so many people he may be advised not to be the focal point, I thought Ben Bradshaw having a go this week was interesting - http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...haw-one-issue-on-doorstep-lying-a7611321.html - its not the headline comment so much as the way he makes a clear attempt to revalidate Blair's legacy and current comments, read the article. It read to me like its not a random interview.

All we need is the brexit voters not normally in the conservative camp to wake up, and we will have polls saying 60-40 against brexit. Suddenly all those MP's (the vast majority) who supported Remain will come out of the woodwork. I also believe we have years before we will fully have left, until then it could be stopped or reversed. Its going to be a long haul.

    The worries are -
    1. no real leader of the anti-Brexit camp. You need someone of Blairs calibre without his history.
    2. the EU are so bloody stupid they could mess it up, if there was a change of mind. Given all the other EU countries who, to lesser degrees, have our concerns you'd think they might try to make some changes but there's precious little sign of it.
    3. the people who voted Brexit....... well, lets just say one or two on this board, as examples, are not too open to changing their minds
    4. the time it will take for things to go pear-shaped, though the "good" news (aka friggin disasters) is starting to appear, as Glory said recently
