You can fault a lot of things about the guy but not his finishing. One of the most deadly strikers in the premier league in the 18 yard box.
Team that started v Arsenal, I would be happy to keep them all for next year. Doesn't mean all should be first team but none of them would be out of place in squad. Dont need another massive clear out with 6/7 first team people leaving and joining. Get rid of couple players that aren't in the squad like Sturridge, Moreno, Lucas (even though he's been very loyal), Sakho possibly Grujic and Ings. Get rid of them, bring in a new CB to partner Matip and move Lovren to bench. New LB for first team. New CM for first team and new versatile striker to compete with Origi firm up top but can slot wide and compliment out fluid front 3.
Possibly but he's not got anywhere near the squad let alone first team yet. If someone comes in with £10m then be hard to turn down. Maybe a loan to continue to develop. Also throw Markovic into the selling list, not near the first team so won't be a miss.
This is the important bit where one or more match official did see the players coming together, but the match officials' view was such that none of them had the opportunity to make a decision on an act of misconduct that took place within that coming toget The ref had a clear view as did the linesman, Zlatan was spoken to at length by the ref and action taken/decision made.
Apart from you only want to keep 7 of the starting 11 where as I want to keep all 11 plus most of the bench so not quite same opinion.
Unless you heard what was said can't say for sure. Even if if he did see it, they'll report they didn't because if he says 'yeah I saw that elbow and decided it wasn't a red' he'll get demoted for poor officiating. See it plenty times when ref is clearly looking and they say didn't see it properly and would have taken action if they had. He wont get away with it. Id be pretty surprised if both didn't get retro bans (although with my wum hat on, given it's united player wouldn't surprise me if they got away with it )
How many times in last 15 years have we sold half the team brought in 6/7 new players who aren't standout and have just blended with mediocrity of current squad and we've been 'in transition' again?
To be honest I can't imagine anyone coming with a £1m bid at the moment, let alone a £10m bid!! I think, like you say, a loan is our best bet so he can develop with a view to either selling him for a profit OR putting him into our squad.
Nope, it would have taken a lot less than 2 mins to say that and the captain wouldn't have been called over to listen.
Exactly. Ibrahimovic will definitely get banned because the implications of not charging someone for such an incident would be massive and send completely the wrong signals about the FA's tolerance toward violent conduct. Mings might getaway with it because its hard to prove that it was deliberate, even though I think instinct tells most people that it looks deliberate.
I think i know who you mean. Was called up I think but not sure if played any games to fecking warrant a work permit Played for a ****ing Italian or Spanish team no doubt would have had it by now
A man looking down mid-stride and planting his foot directly underneath him (coincidentally on another players head) instead of in front of him which is where a normal running stride would land is hard to prove as intentional yet, a man using his arms to assist lift in a jump and intentionally smacking another in the face with his elbow is easy to prove
