Been like that most of the season tho. At least you didn't go. I rather watch my daughter than watch that.
At this stage of the season there is no master plan. Get some **** in what believes in his self and with some ****ing balls. Just have a look at moyes. Standing there like a little boy lost. Even a blind man could see the team getting tired but no moyes can't see it ffs.
Half that team were championship today mainly Borini, seems do do nowt and the others hoof the ball, here we go to Burton albion next season hehe. Moyes will gan with 8 games to go and Joe Kinnear will be at the helm with Dennis wise(but never comes up north) as assistant coach and because Short said " this is the hero manager I have been looking for" while pissed.
"If" Is one of the biggest words in the dictionary. .......As what to do next well it's something that should have been priority in January and that should have been too replace the manager......Now all Moyes and the club can do is plan for championship football net season....
There hasn't been anybody on here more positive than me that we can stay up this season. I still think we can do it however our lack of goals in recent matches is starting to worry me, with no sign of Big Vic returning until next month then that might be too late unless someone else pitches in with a few.
With the team we had today I thought we did OK. Borini poor again. JD isolated. Ndong looking better every game (and he's only 21) Januzai. Has got the skill but is soft as f*cking sh*te and how he gets in ahead of Khazri is beyond me. Khazri got 10 mins and did more in his first 90 seconds than Januzai did all game. Moysy, wots the f*cking point of giving him 10 minutes. We were f*cked after the second goal so he should have come on then. Our goal difference is f*cked anyway so even if Man C won 5-0 today at least have a go instead of playing damage limitation.
For most of the first half you matched them and had the best chances. There have been plenty of games this season when your fans have bemoaned luck and most of the time i ust roll my eyes but today you didn't get the rub of the green. That Defoe chance... The issue isn't today though. If you had played like that against some of the poorer teams in the league you'd be mid-table but you've been seriously poor in some of those games. Mention for Jones who played very well (and I've generally taken the view that having him on the pitch is like playing with 10 men) and the way he linked up with Larsson showed Moyes making the most of what he has to work with. They were well drilled and worked well together.
So get Mr Anycunt in, pay him and pay off Moyes pushing the club further into debt, no guarantee of staying up because there's a good reason why Mr Anycunt isn't managing a prem quality side, then when he lets us down next season sack him, get Mr Anytwat in, pay him and pay off Mr Anycunt, pushing us further and further into debt. Fantastic sustainable plan which has worked wonders for us in recent years.
It was an odd one that. We did quite well for a lot of the game and obviously created chances. Januzaj looked good- he can drift past players with ease but he often gets it wrong after that. I'd still find a place for Khazri though. We're still not closing down fast enough though. Like Johan Cruyff says, football is a simple game; make the pitch small when you haven't got the ball and make it big when you have.
I think we're down this season now. We matched them for effort but the lack of quality and lack of depth is painfully obvious. I also think if Moyes was gonna go it would have happened by now. But there are no options out there for Short. This was the manager he wanted most of all and I don't think Short will see any other options out there with Moyes experience in the PL. So he's stuck with him to the end of the season. Short has boxed himself into a corner this season big time and is now paying for several seasons of perpetual bad decisions making and poor leadership and management at board level. He should have brought Bain in at least 2-3 years ago but I'm guessing the AJ situation and the ever present relegation battle cloaked the underlying problems at board level for 2 of those seasons. I don't see us following the Mags example next season. We may have taken the piss out of Agent Ashley but he's a shrewd bugger and he kept his best options in play to go for a quick bounce back up to the PL. Unfortunately I don't see us achieving the same.
For goodness sake Stu, reply outside of the quote boxes. Then we can work out what you're saying mate.
Nobody mentioned droves. Not important anyway, good effort from the team they'll need more of the same against the **** teams though.
For all the game went to script it was obvious we could not maintain the tempo we set in the first half and MaC could afford to wait and pick us off. Just a shame that the all-important first goal got a deflection of Oviedo, making it even easier for Auguero. The gap in quality, and cost, stood out but we cannot criticise the team for a lack of effort.
