The players are at least as much to blame as AN and the Board.

Any other industry and you wouldn't get away with it.

Employee "I don't feel like working for you and trying my best for the company"

    Boss "ok, jog along"

These players earn **** loads FFS!

What, even though he's blatantly incapable of anything other than a mid-table season that peters out to oblivion with a quarter of the games still to play?
Why would anybody of sound mind :emoticon-0112-wonde commit to any form of long-term plan overseen by some numpty who doesn't have a scooby? And can't lead, cajole or motivate successfully? <doh>

How do you know he and his staff are doing the best job they can ? If they are then they should be sacked cause it ain't good enough.

I guess whether he walks or not is down to whether the job and the money that comes with it are more important to him than his self respect, I suppose he's just like most other people now days not willing to take responsibility for his actions, it's never anyones fault it always down to someone or something else

But you're right about one thing it shouldn't be down to AN to decided, the board should grow a pair, get real and sack him. It's never too late to do the right thing.

Sorry I disagree if the players aren't right AN and / or the board can get rid of them, where as if the manager or the board aren't good enough then the players can't do jack sh1t about it. Maybe other than what their doing !!!

<laugh> that´s a joke, coming from someone who is blatantly incapable of seeing anything other than Mr. A. Neil as the sole culprit of our interesting season. You could put Mourinho in charge of this lot, and they´d still make schoolboy errors.

Hold on some of these players have been signed AN or had their contracts extended. The ones that aren't performing are the one's AN is picking to play.

The power is in AN's hands don't sign them, don't extend their contracts, make them train with the U18's. Don't play them.

If I owned a company and had to pick 11 staff to represent my company and they brought shame on me company I wouldn't pick them again.

And since when has it been the players who decide whether the manager and board are good enough anyway? You´ll be telling me next, that fans should appoint manager, board and players - perish the thought. <yikes>

Well of course AN ain't the only culprit, but he's the one paid to sort the other culprits out. He's had time to do that, he can't, he needs to go and the other f##k up's can go with him.

That wasn't what I said and you know it. RBF it really is time you took those rose tinted specs off.

    Kemp said

    I replied

The point (& you know it) was that whilst the players have some responsibililty they are not at least as responsible as AN or the board, because they don't have as much influence on the team performance as the manager / board. Players are responsible for their individual performance AN is responsible for the team performance and to a lesser extent individual players performances.

Yes, that´s the only answer some people have, and you keep on relentlessly churning it out. I´d agree that some of the dead playing wood needs to be got rid of, but the situation the club is in, and the prospects for the future taken into consideration, I don´t think we could expect to find anyone better than A. Neil for the job ahead. But fortunately, it´s neither me, or thankfully, you, who has to make that decision. :)

Well of course you don't want AN to go, you're happy that the best Norwich can do is make up the numbers in the championship.

No I don´t want A. Neil to go, and happy or not, at the moment Norwich are doing nothing to convince anyone that their place is anywhere but the Championship.

Canario/RBF you both make valid points and my view is that AN and his coaching staff take the training/fitness sessions and at times, we have looked quite 'pedestrian' compared to our opponents and that HAS to be down to what happens at Colney. I'm pretty certain that AN selects the starting 11 and WHY he perseveres with Naismith is beyond me - I know for a fact that I'm not alone in thinking this.
I would just add that NCFC has occasionally 'failed to turn up' for games and one such occasion was when PL was our manager and we played Sunderland away.
I do think that the players have to accept some responsibility for our inept displays, but MOST of our failure this season is DEFINITELY down to AN. You might well be right RBF in that we shouldn't change our manager, but until we do, I can only see us slipping down the league!!!

The players are guilty of not working as a team and having far too many "bad days at the office" but it's up to him and his coaches to a) coach that laissez-faire attitude out of them or b) drop them to the bench (or altogether) if they don't or can't show the qualities he's looking for and thinks the team needs.
The buck has to stop somewhere.
