Spurs will finish above Arsenal this year as Wenger is determined to go out on a downer. Not starting Sanchez! For the sake of my sanity please **** off and go Mr Wenger. Yes you were great. You won't be great again. Yes you won many trophies. You won't win any more Yes you discovered Henry, Anelka, etc. You also bought utter ****. Yes you got us in to CL 21 times. You never won it. Yes you got us Top 4 21 times. You won't this year. Arsene Wenger thanks for all the great memories, please just go.
Very disappointed with AW tactics yesterday - lets not start our best player Sanchez, and then lets give a holiday to our only creative Ozil. ****ish ****ish ****ish. I now know what it is like to have been a Spurs fan for the last 50 years - its ****.
Don't bother with that idiot...his arse has been handed to him so often I think he should keep it like they do with some trophies when you win them a certain number of times.
60s, first half of the 70s, 80s was great. What you are experiencing in the Library era is your equivalent of Spurs during the Sugar era.
Got to love the not606 debating style; "Spurs and in particular Levy, don't sell to a premiership rival" "well apart from Carrick and Berbatov, which have been during Levy's tenure" "But that was 9+ year ago, so doesn't count" Surely until each May, every team in the premiership could be considered a rival, especially with the prizes on offer. What a fickle bunch, when it comes to football, we are!
Point is we are a more attractive proposition now than 9 years ago. Everyone sells when then player is unhappy - Van Persie, Fabregas etc. I understand why Sheringham, Berbatov and Carrick chose to leave, it would be less clear cut for them today.
Fair enough, you've considered it from all angles, worked out the pros and cons and made your decision. Might want to check your calculations though.
I appreciate where you were to where you are, but that wasn't the point. The claim was you don't sell players to rivals, which was factually incorrect. Spurs are no different from most other clubs, they buy and sell players, end of... The only difference is that Levy seems to be able to command top dollar when he sells.
Spurs have not sold key players to PL rivals since 2008. Lesson learned by Levy. "The only difference is that Levy seems to be able to command top dollar when he sells." On that front : long may get Real Madrids' state-sponsored financing continue.
I dislike Spurs massively (mainly since they did ok for one year in the CL and now their fans have got all delusional, thinking they're a big club )... But Kane is proving most people wrong (me included). The stuck up little prick seems to be getting better by the day.
