We beat ourselves. You were very little to do with it. You ought to be more alarmed with your team running out of steam around 65 mins in the last few games. The love-in for Shakespeare will end.
I think Palace's remaining games still keep them firmly in the relegation mix. Think Leicester and Swansea are now a couple of wins away from been out of it, which makes a win against Swansea next Saturday even more crucial. I don't think we should give up yet but the wrongs from the last 2 games need to be eradicated quickly.
Isn't Delroy in Armley clink these days for match fixing? Things haven't sunk that low yet for Adama.
I dunno. He's done his best to fix some of our results this season. #thenetisthestringythinghangingfromthepostsandcrossbar
The main differences are 1. Elmos back 2. Maguire believes all the hype about himself and has started playing **** trying to prove how good he is 3.Evandros injured 4. Markovic and N'Diaye have decided to go absent other than that it's business as usual
There is a good point here - N'Diaye was totally off the pace yesterday and was consistently bested until he was hooked. He has to regain his new signing form quick smart.
He's actually only been on JA606 since June 2016, currently on there apologising to his fellow posters for being a ****. Go easy people, I think he's probably about 15.
Andy Robertson admitted that the better team won after the Tigers slipped to a disappointing 3-1 defeat away at Leicester City on Saturday. Marco Silva’s side opened the scoring at the King Power Stadium when Sam Clucas’ maiden Premier League goal gave the Tigers a one-goal lead after 15 minutes. However, the hosts responded to get back on level terms before the break through Christian Fuchs, before Riyad Mahrez’s first goal from open play this season and an unfortunate Tom Huddlestone own goal in the second half extended the Tigers’ winless run away from home to 13 games. “We can have no complaints about the result whatsoever,” admitted Robertson. “I think they were better than us all over the park even though we went 1-0 up. “It was fantastic to see Sam Clucas get his first Premier League goal. It was a great moment for him personally, but overall we didn’t do enough in the game and Leicester were deserving of the three points. “Since the manager has come in, we’ve been quite consistent with our performances but this was definitely our worst display since he took charge. “It was very much an off-day for us. I don’t think any of us showed up and at this stage of the season, you can’t do that and expect to get anything from the game.” The defeat leaves the Tigers four points from safety and, with just 11 games remaining in the top-flight campaign, Robertson highlighted the need for substance over style as he and his team-mates look to pick up the points needed to ensure Premier League safety. “Right now, if we’re being honest, the table doesn’t look good,” he added. “Other teams involved in the battle at bottom won yesterday and when that happens after a defeat it makes it even worse. “We’ve been where those teams are though. When we picked up a point at Old Trafford and beat Liverpool, we dragged the other teams back into the relegation scrap. We just need to keep plugging away. “We’re nearly into single figures in terms of games remaining, so it’s all about points now. “Good performances aren’t enough for us in our position, although saying that Leicester was neither - it wasn’t a good performance and we failed to pick up any points. “It was a bad day at the office, and we need to find a response. We need to start winning games ugly and doing whatever it takes to get the points. It doesn’t matter how we get the points, as long as we get them. “We all know the table doesn’t look the best right now but you have to look at it at the end of May and see where we are then. “Hopefully by that time we will be above the line that matters. The spirit in this squad is huge and we’ll continue to fight.”
OK... the dust has settled and we know what we have to do... SO.... to lighten the mood a little, here is the Daily Stars computerised final table (I know its just the Star, but today i'm happy to take it!!!)... its just the important bit obviously...
Palace have got a stinker of a run in - Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Arsenal, Leicester, Southampton plus us - you cant really see where their points will come from
I worry for Palace (run in) Boro and Sunderland (general ****ness). For us, what we have to hope is that MS can fix the issues we saw against Leicester. What we saw against Fulham was dire, but then next game it was sorted out. We out played Bournemouth and got points against Liverpool and Man U. It was always going to be the case that if we lost a game against a rival at the bottom, everybody would be slitting wrists and reaching for the bleach cocktails, we're like that as a group of fans. You only have to go back to the win against Liverpool to see that. There are 11 games left and 33 points still to play for. Realistically we have to win 6 of those to stay up, but 5 of those could feasibly come from home games, where we are unbeaten in a wee while in the league. A few draws along the way and you never know.
