The FA decided last night they are to come down heavily on players who deliberately head butt or jump into elbows. FA spokesman S Pecksavers commented on Bournemouths Tyrone Mings appalling gamesmanship stating he was deliberately trying to get Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent off by using a cynical tactic. Jose Mourinho also commented by saying he was disgusted the way Mings threw his face into Zlatans elbow. Jose also commented that Zlatan a keen stamp collector is of course totally innocent as defenders have singled him out before. Mr Pecksavers commented after listening to Zlatans interview and said the FA were more than happy with the strikers explanation and fully intend to punish Mings to the full letter of the law when his jaw has been wired.
Just watched all the incidents as a kind of montage, on "goals on Sunday". If the FA take that approach and see the incidents unfold, I can't see how it couldn't be anything else other than 3 matches for both players.
Mings is looking at a long ban for that stamp, outrageous really. Ibra's elbow was clearly deliberate too, he'll probably get a 3 match ban
Both were equally dangerous...deliberately hitting, stamping, kicking, punching etc someone in the head can and does cause serious injuries, permanent disability and in some cases death. A mate is doing time for manslaughter after decking someone for being an offensive twat. They later died in hospital from 1 punch. He had no idea that the damage 1 hit in the head can do. He ain't a big guy or a boxer ... just stupid. You see men (mostly)...young and old doing it and they have no ****ing idea what they can do damage wise. My mate has killed someone and ****ed up so many other lives. Imho they should be given severe bans...both were ****ing deliberate and very ****ing dangerous. Sorry for ranting
Looks like the FA is seeking a greater punishment for Mings. As far as I am concerned, a deliberate elbow to the face is just as dangerous as treading on someone's head.
There's no stamp there and he was impeded by fatboy although there is contact but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt as he never looked down and saw the dogshit under his foot.
Just looking at the replays on Sky News and in realtime the 'elbow' incident looks rather innocuous and given how many players say they have to use their arms like that to get leverage its hard to say how they can prove intent !?! At the same time they also showed replays of the 'stamping' incident which actually looks , on the face of it , HORRENDOUS !! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
