I couldn't believe those were actually his words, so I checked and it turns out that, yep, that's really what he said. The President of the US is completely infantile.

Yes, I was a little gobsmacked myself. The only reason I wasn't totally aghast was because we've had several weeks to get used to the idiot.

Kinda makes me think of the Tom Hanks film, Big, in which a young boy wishes himself to be "big", then wakes up the next day as an adult, and later regrets it.
Hopefully Trump will want to return to his former life, sooner rather than later.

Trump has gone completely insane, even by his own standards. To make accusations like he has against Obama without a shred of evidence is unprecedented in US politics,

Yes, I heard about his unfounded accusations. It's barely registering on me now. Frankly, that's kind of worrying from my perspective now. Apparently that's part of how Trump gets under the skin.

This is another downward step though. US Presidents never, ever, publicly criticise their predecessors, because whatever you think of the man, the office is the thing. To do this now, with no basis whatsoever, just beggars belief.

Indeed. He has lowered the reputation of Office of USA President remarkably in a very short time. I think it won't be very long before even significant Republicans say 'enough is enough'. They are beginning to line up against him already.

In the present climate in the USA that's enough to get you elected President. What a ****ing world we live in at the moment. At this particular time I don't think I've been more ashamed of the human race.

    Present company excepted.

Well thanks Tories for trying to make my life harder as a self employed person. What have I got, 19 months to go before I'm 60.? I've never taken any more than a couple of weeks of unemployment benefit in my life, but I'm motivated to take every bit of pension credit I can get. I was going to work until I dropped, but I'm now thinking that it might be about time that I took the easy route. When I work out all the expenditure I expect I'll be practically as well off but without the effort.

I thought this UKIPConservative Government was all in favour of helping the self-employed and small businesses. Judging by Hammond`s action to raise taxes on guys like you TSS, it seems not. Where`s Gordon gone?

The Tories were elected on a manifesto that include "no tax increases".
Not like them to lie, is it. <whistle>

A tax hike was pretty much inevitable given the state of public finances, and there'll be more in the pipeline. What is extremely surprising is that the tories appear to have specifically targeted a demographic from which they probably draw a lot of their support.

We should call them KipperTories as the Tory party of old has long since disappeared. Under Cameron's tenure what was once a Conservative party is no more. It is UKIPConservative. Look at their policies, all largely UKIP's.
