An interesting opening hurdle race at Leopardstown tomorrow and the one I have a note for is the Willie Mullins trained Aurko who runs in the Ricci colours, no surprise there. Ricci quoted as saying this is/was his best novice after Douvan back in late 2015. Just got the email from my tracker and had totally forgot the horse tbh. Willie has 3 entered with Ruby opting for the Wylie trained Bonbon Au Miel who currently trades at a general 5/2. Diakali is in there too. Hidden Cyclone runs for Shark and should proved a useful guideline as to what we're dealing with regarding the Mullins newcomers. An interesting race, worth monitoring the market to see if support comes for Aurko here, both the French imports may well need the run after lengthy lay-offs but it wouldn't be a shock if one was good enough to win.
I wouldn't be sure but it's got to be up there surely. Going to be very testing ground for them as well so the smart play could be to side with match fitness. Think Aurko is big at 10's on that comment although maybe Ricci wasn't sure Douvan would go on to do what he has done since either.
Desert Queen at Huntingdon, optimal trip, has the class and should string these out like the washing. Rosie McQueen in the mares Hurdle with a saver on Want The Fairytale. RM jumped well on hurdles debut and has the ability to win this modest race, whilst WTF needs to learn to settle but showed enough on debut to suggest she can run well here too.
I quite agree Nass but there's a mare I follow and really like her, kilronan high for twisters she put in a good performance at HQ a while back finishing second with a few of these a long way behind. I think the track will suit and think she'll outrun her price.if the jolly isn't up to her game today she could win this Cheers
I quite fancy a big run from dance and romance who stepped up well in trip lto 14s looks a bit skinny though. I have been watching and hoping it would drift like a barge . A small dabble as Hughes will hopefully be patient and let dance take a steady pace and reel them in towards the end.
Stewards Enquiry in the opener is interesting. The commentators are saying to reverse the placing but I cannot see that happening. The runner up never got a bump even, just followed the winner.
Wondering why I have had a big bet on HIDDEN CYCLONE, I never touch the Irish as a rule, it's all you bad influences!
Brilliant run from Bonbon Au Miel. I suspect he's better than the winner and just tired late on when Ruby had to get after him which is understandable. Aurko looked a good bit behind fitness wise, was definitely only a school and he got awfully tired halfway through before falling. Nice to see Hidden Cyclone win again, thoroughly likeable horse over the years.
Why follow your Championship when Ireland has the Premiership. Come over to the good side stick. Game winner today was the Cyclone. A keg of Guinness will be getting a good seeing to by Shark and co later I'd imagine
PINCH OF GINGER for me in the next at Sedgefield. Maybe the outsider but I'm sure I saw somewhere that McCains horses do well in this race not that you can see this on the Sportinglife website anymore. Crap.

Peoor Kwality stickler. That's all the fun of the fair. Wouldn't want it any other way or it would be boring. Anyway, I'm off for a few pints of Guinness now myself.
