every point you have raised i have countered, you descended to the level of cheap insults first. I come from a left wing upbringing and developed my own ideas about the world through discovering for myself the benefit of hard work and a desire to provide a better life than i had for any children i might have in the future. I have long since stopped being motivated to do better than my parents since i achieved that a long time ago
I have never claimed benefits in my life, i had a full time summer job lined up before i left school, i worked my ass off there and they offered to pay for my tuition to eventually become an Architect. My plans suffered a slight knock recently with the closing of the company, I did not allow this to affect my resolve to better my lot in life so transferred to the full time course. If i did not want to work i could have studied full time since leaving school and i would have qualified this year and not be in my current situation of having a further 6 years of study ahead of me.
I think you took the proper route as not only do you have the academic knowledge but also practical knowledge from your work experience. Too many people go to Uni and come out with degrees only to find that they cannot get a job because they lack work experience. These days degrees and academic qualifications alone are not worth the paper they are written on.
