I respect that but I don't agree mate, Tyson has a glass jaw which has been exposed many times.

You've got a good point mate but I'm just saying that I wouldn't like to call it. As you say, we'll never know.

    Glas
Glass jaw? In the fights he was stopped in he was hit for 8 to 10 rounds. Not really a glass jaw. In his pomp he just didn't get hit as his movement and speed were awesome. It's all opinions though mate.

Anyone can get knocked on their arse, especially in the heavyweight division. It happened to Ali several times.

The point is that the best fighters don't get hit square on the jaw. Tyson at his best had so much lateral movement and such excellent technique that no one got near his jaw. It was only at the end of his career, when his head had gone , that he started getting picked off

I remember Douglas cut him up pretty bad before knocking him out. If Douglas, who was distinctly average, could inflict that on him with a jab, I dread to think what Ali in his prime would have done.

Tyson got suckered in by the lifestyle and was finished the night Douglas landed that upper cut.

Before that he was virtually untouchable

  9. Stan, you do realise that Stan Laurel putting on an afro in the 1930s is no different to white men dressing up as black and white minstrels in the 1970s?

That's a shameful act of racism, and one which the new HIAG wants absolutely nothing to do with.

  10. Mr Marks doesn't let anyone else have opinions, Bluey. He has a skewed view of the World, and if you don't accept it you are a ***got.

The decent posters on this board tend not to get into discussions with Mr Marks for that very reason.

Exactly. The only person who could have beaten the Mike Tyson who unified the division in the 80s was Mike Tyson. Which he then went on to do.

Stan has been racially abused by bigots on the politics thread after he admitted to being of African descent (despite being white) hence the name change and Afro avatar

In short, shut up HIAG <ok>

  13. Tobes, my last post was new HIAG's attempt to be funny. It appears to have back-fired. I apologise.

By the way, when I was a kid, I used to love the black and white minstrels.

  15. When I discovered that Lenny Henry had appeared on the Black and White Minstrels Show I was utterly gutted, and felt cheated.

How dare a black man pretend to be a white man dressing up as a black man!

I would have demanded the TV licence fee back from the BBC, but I was a pre-teen, and I hadn't bought the licence.

This comes to you via the forums clown who despite claims of change is in fact a bigger gimp than before. Perhaps you should read the boxing part of the thread. As it's clear you know nix about football you may know something about boxing and might wish to add to the debate as opposed to slagging other posters off.

Who, Stan Laurel? Or Lenny Henry?

Yeah okay. We'll never know who would have won a comedy face off.

He was coked off his tits the night before and had spent it shagging away having paid the maid looking after his hotel room...his heart wasnt in it at all for many reasons. Tyson's Biography is a fantastic read.
