I've been watching the game and it's not like he is looking at him when he jumps over.

Down to interpretation I think. He clearly knew Zlatan was there, because he had to hurdle over him. But he wasn't looking at Zlatan as he was doing so, he was looking across at the ball. It is possible that he was just intended to plant his foot beyond Zlatan (ie actually hurdle over him), but accidentally put it on Zlatan instead.

My view is that he knew what he was doing.

I personally didn't think it was deliberate but as you say it's down to interpretation.

I also don't really care what BBC and SKY say. I'd rather use my own eyes.

And from Zlatan's point of view, all the same whether deliberate or not. If you are hurting, you can lash out....but no excuse under the laws as you can do real damage.

I also think the referee probably didn't see it. You had Rooney and a Bmouth player down on the floor too, and Mings' back to the referee. With it being an off the ball incident as well, I can completely understand Friend missing that one. And of course if he did miss it, then that does open up the possibility of a retrospective ban.

But even if he did see it, then yes I can also understand if he took the same view as you.

It's the Zlatan elbow that has absolutely no interpretation attached to it, I would say. And given how long he spoke to Zlatan for, he must have seen it.

2 wrongs don't make a right. He could have seriously hurt mings.

    From the BBC
Guidance from Dermot Gallagher at the Premier League Match Centre on events at Old Trafford.
Andrew Surman's second yellow was for pushing over Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the elbow incident.

Tyrone Mings could face retrospective action for treading on Ibrahimovic while Ibrahimovic could face retrospective action for elbow incident.

Yeah I think that's right. On it's own not seeing the head stamp is sort of forgiveable. It's the whole loss of control that is bad. Wonder if he can get it back...

Well we know that for all his great attributes in defending, he is scared witless about crossing the halfway line. Not exactly the sort of player Utd fans will be wanting at home to Bmouth, especially a 10 man Bmouth.

And that is possibly Shaw done for the season. You need to learn how to attack like Bertrand, Rose etc, my son.

The worst part of that whole incident is that Rooney and Ibrahimovic were allowed to talk to Friend for about 2 minutes before he decided to give Surman his red. I know you won't like this Tom, but that isn't just poor refereeing, it shows all the appearance of bias.
