BBC Match "FACTS" Newcastle's last away win against Newcastle in league competition came in December 1963 (D3 L1 since). Not only have we beaten ourselves (away from home) we have also lost once and drawn 3 times!!! Impressive stuff...
FFS Albert! I spent 4 hours searching around in Yorkshire and couldn't see you anywhere. Completely missed the game too. Did we win?
Can't wait for this one, organising my break at work around it Massive game, I'm feeling good, another 2-1 away win
It's all about points in the bag. Anything but a defeat and I'll be happy. Much as I'd like to win it at a canter, the gap to third is the key for me. A win, and I'll be ecstatic. Don't want to spend time thinking about that right now too much in case it doesn't happen and the disappointment becomes all too much to bear [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I made the point a couple of weeks ago that this tough run of games could really suit us. The teams we are playing HAVE to beat us. Any other result suits us. We do better against teams who are trying to win the game rather than stopping us from winning it.
First 20 minutes will be important to "weather" the storm which I would expect Huddersfield will throw at us. Then the next 25 minutes will be important to make sure we don't go in at half time losing. I would then think that the first 15 minutes of the second half will be important as I'd expect Huddersfield would be again throwing everything at us to get a goal. If we can weather that storm the next 15 minutes will be important as they will bring on their subs to try and impact upon the game. Then, finally, I think the final 15 minutes will, in all likelihood, be important as they throw the kitchen sink at us to try and snatch a late winner. Overall, I think you could say that it will be a pretty important 90 minutes.
