At first glance not the greatest days sport of the morrow - ‘I’ve been told’ (those Classic 3 forum words there) this is because there is quite a big event gee-gee wise on the horizon in the not too distant future. ‘Calm before the storm’ then you might very well say… I’m hoping that a BLOODY MARY will be the forum’s beverage of choice later on tomorrow and that we will be toasting the success of Mr Henderson’s mare at Newbury (2.40). The old girl was a prolific winner across the Channel and performed with promise for the forum’s favourite trainer last term as she won at Taunton and then finished 3rd, in the novice event for mares, at the Cheltenham Festival. A perch of 133 in her first handicap looks highly workable for connections and I would expect Bloody Mary to make her first appearance of the term a winning one before possibly going on to the Cheltenham Festival to seek further success. Meanwhile, Kelso’s Listed Chase (4.00) looks an intriguing little contest and I’d take LE MERCUREY to come out on top despite being 10 lbs ‘wrong’ at the weights with Tenor Nivernais. Le Mercurey ran a stormer to split Native River and Bristol De Mai last time and has in the past ran very sound races in small runner affairs such as this one. I think he can overturn the likely favourite tomorrow. Good luck all.
I am quite literally speechless that you are tipping one up against Montbazon, former hope of the County.
Looks like the ground will suit HARRY TOPPER at Newbury and at 9/2 it shall carry some of my hard earned.
Ground is the only thing that stops me backing Le Mercurey tomorrow. I'm not sure he acts on heavy and a drop more rain will turn it that way. Not worth the stress of weather forecasts for 24 hrs. I've dutched the two Nicholls horses in the 3.15 at Newbury at 15/2 and 12/1. Vibrato Valtat and More Buck's. I don't like either to be honest but the trainers record in the race is so strong and these prices sufficiently big that it felt worth a little punt.
Interesting that all three of de Souza's mounts at Lingfield are blue across the board on oddschecker this evening, big price treble!?!?
635 on a Saturday morning, GREAT time for a rant Bob 5 stars my friend! Bookies waken up and take note!
New look sporting life is so ****ing ****. Caspian Prince 2 25 Meydan. Won here last year, been running well still and Dettori now takes over. Huge price @ 25/1
Great to see some old faves out in the veterans chase at Newbury 2.05pm. I am interested to see how O'Faolains Boy runs today as in a moment of madness I placed an ante post bet on him for the grand national. Usually when the mud is flying Venetia Wiliams is the one to follow and I note she has struck a rich vein of form right now. I can't resist a small bet on Katenko at 14/1. Still dropping down the weights and is very well handicapped.
I REALLY like BRECON HILL in the Donny bumper. Off to the point today for the first time in ages. Hoping to get some great action shots on film. I have picked my fence so all Pendleton has to do now is fall off at the right place for me!
Is that because you don't like her, or just want to make sure you are first on the scene to pick her up .... and that
