http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/15133106.Saints_fan_jailed_over_pre_match_brawl/ Saints fan jailed for a year after fighting on a train near The Hawthorns. Unsuprisingly looks very similar to the prick I saw on the train on Sunday night trying to fight anyone who would pay him attention...
Barcelona too. Oh, and they want Romeu as well. Really, you couldn't make it up. But I think they just might have.
I know. These bloody youngsters get on my tits! I travel all around the place watching Saints and am proud to be an away fan. We're loud and support the team. At the end of a game we go home. A United fan said to me on the train going down that he liked playing us. Partly it was because of the football, but also our fans were "awesome" - noisy, no trouble and happy to get involved in a bit of banter pre and post match. Every now and again a prick like this shows up. Can he banned for ever?
Presumably, every now and again these pricks are released? Maybe we could persuade Australia to take them again?
A bit of nostalgia, this picture was on the front page of a newspaper in 1967, I am third from the left, my Dad, Len, first from the left and my sister Doreen second from the left. I have no idea who the rest of the group were.28th January 1967 Barrow was the location, FA Cup 3rd Round. Score was 2 - 2 Davies and Chivers the scorers. We won the replay 3 - 0. We had been dropped off at the Rugby Stadium by mistake and were walking to the Football Stadium when we were snapped.

Great picture. I didn't get to the first game, but did make the replay. First FA Cup tie as a First Division "giant". Lost to the mighty Bristol City in the next round. A fairly typical Saints cup run!
Funny seeing the rosettes again, do not see them now a days, I used to collect ones from special games and hang them on the bedroom wall in our council house in Thornhill back in the sixties.
