My brother knows a ex-bookie. He told us that if you put money on the home team to win either 2-1 or 3-1 over the course of a season, you'll more than likely come out with a tidy amount in the end. Most consistent results

 

Don't tell Jim that or he'll start predicting 3-1 to the Toon every home game.

 

It might just be possible that someone worked this out in September (the bottom 8 haven't predicted since then) and seeing that the winner of the competition is the person who wins the predictions for May, decided that it was easiest to just start everyone on zero on May 1st

But I'm not even on the list and I should have maximum points for correctly predicting eacb day that you wouldn't update the league table.
