I know i will probably get shot down for this but................. if we start well Saturday our supporters will as they have all season be brilliant ( i am still impressed with us staying loyal for so long in an awful run, very un-City like), BUT if we fall behind or things are a little drab i am very worried what will happen with the crowd. I fully appreciate every money paying supporter has completely got the right to boo, or chant abuse, of course they can, but i have to ask what during the 90 mins + of the match, good will it actually do for the players?????? Does anyone think that players on the pitch or on the bench will think, WOW we better play better here? I personally find it cringe worthy and embarrassing, only my opinion, i am not suggesting for one minute i am right and the others with their opinions are wrong, but i cannot see ANY advantage during a game to do this! I hope we win , and i hope it doesn't come to this, but I am worried. Over to you peeps with all your valid thoughts on this, either way you go.
I won't boo whatever happens but I have in the past. If the players look nervy and make silly mistakes it could get a bit nasty for Johnson.. If we go one behind it will be 'toxic'.
Problem is Redandy, there will be ones that will boo, some will also hope we lose with the chance that LJ will get the boot. For me, as always, I hope we come away with all three points. Failure to do so, I think the curtain will come down on LJ's reign..
I'm still not so sure that SL will have the balls to do the business just in case people will think he has admitted his mistake in hiring Lee. Pride is a wonderful and yet sometimes destructive part of some peoples personality particularly those with a bent for mistakes.
I'm beginning to wonder if there is a clause meaning sacking LJ becomes a lot cheaper should he be sacked while we're in the relegation zone. It would explain the reluctance to sack him atm and it would make sense given the fact that once a new appointment is made, we'd then be paying 3 managers at one time.
Of course it's conspiracy talk, I have nothing to base it on. But he's not going to want to be paying out unnecessarily; going by that logic we'd be saying **** FFP and just pay the fines that come with it. There is an element of prudency about it of course, albeit a much smaller level of it at BCFC.
Bristol City fans are no different from any other fan of any other sports team in the world. The team doesn't perform, the fans boo. It's the fans' right to make their feelings known and it's not like they can have a Monday morning 9am meeting to discuss it. Game day is the only chance they get to make their feelings known to the manager and Board of Directors. As for making the players nervous, they are highly paid professionals, not school boys. Get over it and do your bloody jobs, all of you.
