It means the pills are working. Nothing to worry about. Caution: if you're in hospital & they give you them, don't have a tug as the crash team will burst through the door in seconds!
4th using Plan A. Very commendable, I agree. Now where would we be if there was a Plan B, C etc? I'm not trying to pull down Monk, as has been suggested, but now that you mention it ... Monk told us he knew how to prepare a team for the Championship, when most on here thought his pre-season was light, game-time- & opposition-wise. We got 4 out of 18 points from the first 6 matches. Hardly the second coming. And perhaps these results were the main reason we thought we'd struggle for the rest of the season? So what changed? Mass dropping of players? Introduction of 4-2-3-1? Do you even know when he introduced the 4-2-3-1 formation? Now don't get me wrong. I've thoroughly enjoyed this season & will still think it's been great even if we don't get promoted. In fact, even if we don't make the play-offs there's a lot to be happy about this season. But that doesn't make me blind to areas for improvement. And Monk is one of them. If you don't believe that, then there's no hope for you. There's no doubt he's made mistake, and he will continue to make mistakes, and hopefully learn from them. He appears to have learned some big lessons this season, and his first 6 matches was one of them. Even he knows he has to improve. Why don't you know it? And finally, pointing out someone's mistakes is not necessarily 'attacking' them. If you've got such a downer on 'attacking' at this stage of the season, why do attacks on various players go unchallenged by you? Why criticise players & leave the manager out of it? Where's the consistency in that? Can I assume both of you will report excellent performances from every team member whether they've been awful or not? I think not. You have a very inconsistent outlook, and seem to think Monk deserves more protection than the players. I disagree. You can't have your cake & eat it. Anyhow, I'm off to board a ship until the 28th. You'll be delighted to hear that I'll be incommunicado for most of that time. If I do get on, I'm assuming you'll be ripping people to bits for mentioning that some players might not have given 100%, or made a bad pass or something. MOT
FFS Jocko, as a fellow Jags fan I would never have expected you to act this dumb building an argument as per your quote above: it is downright pathetic to insinuate that if Monk had other "formations" he could use that we'd be top of the table ... come on, stop being such a dick just for the hell of it, you are being silly now as for preparing a team, Monk was spot on, because he was referring to having his team physically on point from Christmas onwards ... he felt his time would be worth more on the training ground with his new squad than playing lots of friendlies, saving their legs for when its needed most, like NOW I'll back this up further ... Bartley, Green, Pontus, Berardi, O'Kane, Vieira, Sacko for example ... none of these players have been regular starters over the past two seasons, so you'd expect them to be absolutely out on their feet by now ... funny how they're all still full of running in the 96th minute the Championship is a hard, uncompromising league ... Monk came through this division with Swansea, and he saw what it takes to finish a season strongly ... look at Leeds today, a team that fights to the bitter end, never giving up and battling away with stamina and strength, scoring late goals when all seems lost ... this is because Monk has prepared his squad properly, and when other teams are running out of gas and losing concentration, Leeds are powering on and don't bring up Hudds late winner against us, that was a lucky deflection, not brilliant setup play and bad defending ... look at Blackburn away, against a team determined to get a draw at home please, it is just silly to point a finger at Monk for anything at all this season, and even the "finished article" argument is laughable, because Monk will be the first one to tell you that he will never be the finished article, and rightly so ... we finally have an excellent manager who knows what he's doing, who has the desire and belief to be successful, and who is a true winner ... if you can't support him and acknowledge he is brilliant for Leeds, then I just don't know anymore MOT ... just about Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
