it is a shame we will be without Tammy and Milan as the way we have played recently is getting near a goal feast ..... Burton however slightly better than us, by 3 points but have to play 6 of the top 8 teams in what will be there last 11 fixtures...... ( included Villa as they may have woken up now )
we play 3!!! of the top teams

    City season HOME record
    W L W D W W W L W L L L L D W L L = 23 points ( 8 losses 7 wins 2 draws ) zero GD 20 GF 20 GA

    Burton season AWAY record
    L D D D L D L L L D L L W L W L D = 12 points ( 9 losses 6 draws 2 wins ) minus 14 GD 16 GF 30 GA
This could well be a game that ends 0-0! fighting for their lives or a fair few goals 3-3?

I would keep our back 4 and play Taylor and Tomlin up front, Wilbs on the bench .... middle 4 start with Cotterill and ..? ..? . ?

Nigel Clough will offer better management than Lee and will get the draw. However I want to say that this could be the turning point on many fronts but I'm wondering how we will react should we go behind, and what after effects this game could produce. To say that this match is fundamental to our longer term future is an understatement but surely the only agenda must be survival this season. An interesting weekend is ahead and we just have to let the chips fall where they may.

We've won 1 league game out of the last 15.

This has 0-0 written all over it.

'we need to get behind the TEAM'

    They're not my team.

It's just Lansdown playing with his toy, he doesn't care.
He has so much money he's lost touch with reality.
You can bet your life he's not hurting like BCFC fans.

Am flying over from the Isle of Man for the match v Burton, and to imbibe some Bristol nostalgea and old haunts where I was in late 60's early 70's,
when I got my initiation into Bristol City FC.
The fear is that if we don't beat Burton, not only will I presume Lee Johnson will lose his job, but the atmosphere around Ashton Gate will be toxic.
    So come on you reds..

sorry but I cant figure that attitude, I'm just about ok with sl and certainly no lover of Johnston - but they will always be my team until I'm in my box with a 50 year old rosette on my chest,

    FROM THE BBC
Bristol City hope to have striker Milan Djuric available after missing the past two games with a groin injury.
On-loan Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham (thigh) and full-back Mark Little (hamstring) are both still doubtful.
Burton Albion are still plagued by injuries, with on-loan winger Michael Kightly a doubt with a tight hamstring.
Top scorer Jackson Irvine (groin), John Brayford (knee), Lucas Akins (calf) and Damien McCrory (hamstring) are injury concerns for Nigel Clough's side.
Bristol City head coach Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol: "It's a big game, we want to make sure that we can go level on points with Burton and go above them in the table, and that gives us something to get hold of and creates that cup final type mentality.
"Is it an absolute disaster if we draw? Of course not, if we win it's fantastic but we want to make sure that we have the mindset to win.
"We could easily be sat here on seven or eight more points for various reasons, I'm sure a lot of teams would say that, but we are where we are and the players out on the pitch have to play the moment."
Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "It has been a great time to get five points from three games. It gives us a fighting chance.
"It will be really tight down there so any point is a valuable one. Putting a run together of three or four wins is highly unlikely. Those five points are very important so the aim is to stay unbeaten for a few more games.
"Bristol City have played very well in some of the games so this is a good team, but they are not quite getting the breaks."

    Match facts
    • This will be just the second meeting in all competitions between Bristol City and Burton Albion, with the only previous one coming last August.
    • This season's reverse fixture saw Bristol City come away with a 2-1 win, thanks to goals either side of half-time from Tammy Abraham.
    • Only bottom club Rotherham (4) have collected fewer points in 2017 than Bristol City in the Championship (6).
    • Burton have taken eight points from their last five Championship games, having taken nine from the previous 11.
    • The Robins have won only one of their last 15 games in the Championship (D3 L11).
    • ABOVE FROM THE BBC SITE ...
    • COMPARING 15 GAMES City have taken just 6 points from 45 Whilst Burton have ground out 14 with a goal deficit of -9 which is 3 better than City

Formation doesn't matter anymore because it sounded like the drab game, as predicted ,and lo and behold we are officially in the relegation zone. Thanks must go out to all the contributors of this debacle and see you in League One next season.

    Missed a penalty.
Could be temporarily safe now but for his miss.

Wonder if it was deliberate? <confused>

Did hear today, from some one in the know, that City do not have to pay him compensation if he is removed when we are in the relegation places. May explain lack of action on SLs part so far. If he is removed over next 24 hours this would add some credence to what I was told.

Does that come under the heading of insane accounting, or is it just me? It is starting to sound like a murder mystery to me when you consider our leader is killing our team and nobody can understand why. Almost like the plot of the Mousetrap and when you consider who the perpetrator was in that plot it does point the finger of suspicion firmly in SL's court. Weird actions and decisions are not good marketing plans for next season's potential ticket buyers, unless something turns around now and sadly another opportunity went begging today. Forgive me for saying this but is there something rotten in the air at Ashton Gate such as the footballing aspect of Bristol Sports being a dumping ground for the surplus or waste? Mmm?
