Apparently Trump's now suggested that these threats and attacks on Jewish centres and cemeteries are false flags. He thinks that they're just being done to make his supporters look bad or something. ****ing unbelievable.
I now work for an organization that's seen the light, and it's shocking. I'd been making the case for some time that treating people well is cheaper than giving them a raise, is more appreciated, and will lead them to provide more value. Conversely, treat people badly and pay them little, they'll treat you worse and be happy to risk getting sacked.
As the late great Prof Manny Lehman taught me as an undergrad nigh on 30 yrs ago : People need to feel they are contributing. So even in the worst working cultures/envs, people can tolerate this when they feel that their efforts are having some positive effect for a greater good.
You may notice this is even true of animals. Dogs rarely look happier than when they're being helpful. You can tell that service dogs believe intensely in what they're doing. Horses at stables want to go back to the barn eventually, as everyone notices, but they want to go out as well. They want to feel that someone values them. So how much more important it must be for people to feel that they are being helpful, and that people see that.
Trump's approval rating soars. Finally the good news we've all been hoping for : http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/article/2616109/
And the true picture continues to emerge, whether or not he actually managed to pull his **** together for one speech. (Although even in that, despite the calmer delivery he still managed to design his own version of the truth surrounding the 'vitally successful' Yemen operation and the death of the Navy Seal. 2 days previously he was publicly blaming the Military for a botched job and the death of 25 civilians including a US citizen.) One swallow.... Doesn't make a blow job...... But there still might be a huge prick involved!! Has long been the case. You might argue that in the modern world nothing has value that cannot easily be attributed a monetary value. "Happiness" is just too abstract a term to measure financially so it doesn't count. I would argue that such factors have a huge financial impact, but indirectly, hence can't be given a value whilst if you can test something and give it a number then that is all-important (school league tables, NHS treatment stats etc).
I know that country, I lived there for four years, but I really still can't believe that they were dumb enough to elect one of the most blatant, obvious liars and charlatans I've ever seen in a so called sophisticated political arena.
Not that i dont agree with this in that if everyone was paid proportionately more people are generally more happy however, People will never be fully happy. I would say 90% of humans are greedy and at work some will deem themselves more important, or harder working or even equal. When a finds out b got promoted or paid more and is also less talented, a will be demoralised and ineivitably less happy than before. Especially if person a is ambitious.
Don't forget as Attorney General he oversees the FBI ... which is investigating links with Russia. The cliche "you couldn't make it up" is so insufficient for the Trumpists, and so appropriate for everything they do that they've almost made its use redundant.
But don't forget, there are no ties to Russia, especially the ones that we already know about. I'm not sure which is worse; the obvious corruption or the fact that they're so bad at covering it up.
So who does Trump point the finger at to try and divert the Narrative away from him this time, the media or Obama? Says a lot that he's exhausted the two cards he has in his pocket within a month, doesn't it?
Me too. Worked for US multinationals for a few years, lived in NYC and Chicago and regularly visited HQ's in Seattle, San Diego and even Provo (Ut). All my friends there hold similar views....... He is exactly as you describe - a snake-oil salesman.
