Its spread north to Stockton, although I might have picked it up passing through the Red Funnel terminus as a student. You are at risk of catching anything when you sleep in a phone box because youve missed the last ferry.

There is a big difference between expressing a concern and proposing actions for change than being constantly critical or negative. In that regard you comment is unfair and unfounded and you will find very few statements of the kind you describe amongst my posts but hey if you want to make a point then waste your time trawling back through them for the one or two that will support your claim.

Whilst in the few games he has played we have shipped a fair few goals, I can not pin any down to errors by Stevens. With VVD staying next season Stevens game time will obviously dwindle, but he has done his loan time and is now a part of the first team, he could even get some game time as a defensive midfielder if we are against a physical team or Romeu misses a game

    <laugh> Alzheimers?

Don't worry mate, I was comparing Manolo to Fernando Totti the other day; or was that Francesco Torres?

I've been trying to figure out which player, from yesteryear, Manolo reminded me of.
At the moment I am thinking Alan "Sniffer" Clarke, Leeds and England.
Similar ability to be in the right place at the right time, and makes the same sort of runs between the CBs.
If he is as successful as Clarke was, he could become a Saints legend.

Not a criticism as such, but more an observation, I thought the Lingaard goal was down to JS drifting away from where he was meant to be (from memory).

It's the one time I've ever agreed with Garth Crooks - Inzaghi (though less offside the whole time).

Still trying to lift myself from Sunday. Decided that life is a pale imitation of a football match. You have to enjoy the moment, because there could be **** round the corner. The one memory I have decided to carry of that game is the equaliser. Scored right in front of us, the fans going mental and the belief that it was going to be our day. For that moment, thanks Manolo!

I've been having a look at the Gabbi transfer thread on a Napoli forum, for some reason it has grown quite a bit over the last few days :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Google translate doesn't make it easy but from what I gather they now think he is a great player but he just didn't have a good enough 'character' for Napoli.

I think they mean he didn't wave his arms about every time he missed a shot which is super important over there.<laugh>

I'll pick you up. Yeah we lost on Sunday and it hurts, it really does but we played very very well and showed just what we are capable of. There were so many positives to take from the game.
We know have a striker who looks like he will score with every chance he gets. Think of what we can achieve if he continues in such form. We have a winnable game on Saturday and still have a chance of finishing the season strongly. I believe we will and with a bit of luck we may see the same names on the team sheet for the first game next season. We have exciting times ahead.

    Come on you reds!

I've yet to see anything I'd classify as an expression from him. Even when celebrating a goal it's basically just the same set of his face, only with an open mouth. Makes Jay look like an over-actor.

he seemed caught in going to the runner with the ball, which was probably the correct choice as he was the no1 threat, Lingard should have been picked up by DF MID, but it was agood move by UTD, probably the only time they caused our defence a problem

Adam Blackmore laid the blame for both goals at Romeu's feet. Very harsh I thought. OK, the first one was a bad tackle, but Saints could have defended the free-kick better. Putting the short bloke in the team, Steven Davis at the other end of the line and bringing in a tall bloke would have made it harder, apart from Fraser's faux-pas. The second goal was really the CB's backing off too far. Oriol can't be everywhere.

Very kind of you. Thanks. I agree 100% with your view.

I really must use these bloody emoji things more. Not really down - Aleppo; state of the NHS; brexit farce - all will trouble me more than the fate of my football team!

This explains the posters on the Echo site, I haven't been able to fathom them out, this makes everything clear now.
