Just had a courtesy call from Hull City Tigers enquiring if there were specific reasons I'd not done business with them for a while. It remained pleasant throughout the whole 30 minute summary of reasons. Poor lad.

That's how he started with me. I asked what the concession price was. He confirmed the club didn't do concessions. "& that's why we're no longer doing business" He then ran through a survey they'd been asked to compile to try & find out the reasons why people were staying away & what would need to be done for me to return.

Problem is every time we win people get all fickle and pretend everything's OK off the pitch. One week they want firm protests, the next week it's "Oh Silva's doing a good job so let's get behind him and the team". We were assured by the apologists that selling Livermore was a great deal, a masterstroke by the wily Ehab. He wasn't that good anyway remember. Now he's making the England squad and beating Arsenal a few weeks later. No comments on that brainwave now though. People are far too keen to give the Allams the benefit of the doubt when they've proven time and time again that they're running the club based on spiting the fans. They openly admitted so and even despite that, people still find reasons not to believe it and to undermine those who oppose. Then when we start losing again they expect those people to protest on their behalf.
You do realise 'backing the team' isn't the same as saying everything's OK off the pitch, considering the team is on the pitch?
..Exactly. So when people say they want to focus on supporting the team it isn't the same thing as saying they think everything is ok off the field.
Obviously no one just says it out of the blue. It's often been said in opposition to those people trying to protest against the shambles off the pitch. "Why don't they just support the team." Wow what a novel idea.
